And....."Action!"

Hey there! Hello, How are you?
I'm so happy it's Friday and the beginning of a three day weekend!  My plans for this holiday weekend are to stamp, stamp and if I can squeeze in some time, stamp!  Laundry will get done when it gets done.....no rush.

Just wanted to share a couple of cards I made yesterday with these wonderful vintage images found over at

These are titled

Here is the second one...
If you'll notice the curled sheer yellow ribbon, I wanted it to curl and so I put a light coat of glossy accents over it and then wrapped it around a pen and let it sit for awhile.  Once I pulled it off, it curled beautifully.  My question is, is that how you all curl ribbon too, or is there another way I haven't thought of?  Inquiring minds want to know.

That's it for this post, but my desk is covered in more images that I'll be working on today from Igancio over at
I think you're really going to love these as well.
Oh and just a reminder, he is still having a 25% off sale for the entire month of February.  If you're interested, grab the promo code from the image below!

Thanks so much for stopping in and visiting.
All of your wonderful comments just make my day!

Cheers and Happy Stamping...
Lisa xx

Challenges I would like to enter these cards into:

Our Creative Corner - Best Friend (Include a Flower); My BFF and I love watching movies together and we usually giggle the entire way through and miss half the movie.  It doesn't say BFF on it, but she already knows she is. Hope it still counts for the challenge. :)

WOW!!!!

Now where did my socks go. They got blown off by your cards.

As far as curling ribbon, I haven't ever tried it but I am now!!!

My plans for the weekend include figuring out Irini's flower. I think I know now how they did it. AND, I have that metal tape.

Have a great stamp fest!!!!

Hello Q
I am so pleased you joined us at OCC for the Best Friend Challenge, I think your BF is a very lucky person to have you in her life, and more so because you make such beautiful cards, and she is going to love these, and it does not have to say BF, to me our cards always shows love through your art. I do not curl my ribbon like you but if it works then stick to it! I use a teeny weeny drop of Glossy Accents where it touches the card on the curl...... does that make any sense to you?
Your embossing and colour palette of the second card is so vintage, of course Ignacio will be thrilled to see his designs worked this way. Note to self; Must get around to doing mine with his images.
Have a great three days of stamping Q; our next Challenge is up tomorrow!
Smiles:)

Gorgeous cards! You do such amazing things with these vintage pieces! Love the curled ribbon! I don't think I've ever tried this.
If you ever find the pinterest and wine gig, please tell them you have a friend who would also love to work for them! I'd even be willing to make the occasional card or scrapbook page!

I love the look of both of these cards! Gorgeous vintage loveliness. Those images are amazing and you've found the perfect ways to dress them up. Thanks for the tip on the ribbon curling. I've never tried to do that, but your method sounds like a winner to me.
Can't wait to see what all this weekends stamping produces. :-) Hugs!

OMAA I think I've been in a cave for quite some time, but in my head it had only been a couple of days...look at all of these scrumptious things I've missed! Both of these are so cool and love the bingo card and flowers on the first one (ooooh and you snuck in some pearls....me favorite). Love the loopy and curly ribbon for the second one. I might have to do that glossy accent trick..TFS
