Don't panic! I didn't mean school was REALLY cancelled, but by the looks of this young man in my card...I think that's the good word on the street! Welcome again to another challenge at Top Tip Tuesday where our theme this time around is Kids/Teens. There's a very special treat too. One of our newest and loved members, Lisa S, has a superb tutorial on mixed media. Some of you may be as confused as I am to what "qualifies" as mixed media, but have no fear, Lisa will put all your questions and fears to rest, so be sure to check it out and feast your eyes on her project as well. OHH, but there's more inspiration too as the wonderful TTT ladies also have their offerings for kids or teens. Here is my card using News Kid, a freebie from Kenny K and I've tried my best to place him in a mixed media environment. The sky is actually a gift from my dear blogger buddy Sue at Scrumplescrunch and it's dylusion inks dyed paper that I've torn and layered, brayed over with a lighter blue and then embossed snowflakes on. The trees are more recycled metal from an old tea can and decorated with metallic green acrylic paint, drops of Adirondack inks and red stickles. The snowman is of course, built with buttons. Hope you've enjoyed this card. :)
Do you like prizes? Well, yes! Who doesn't? There's also some mega cool sponsors such as Kenny K, Fred She Said and Crimson Cloud all ready to hand out prizes to our lucky winners!
Thank you so much for stopping and a very warm welcome to my newest and very appreciated followers too.
Hugs n' Happy Stamping...
Lisa xx

This is such a fun card Lisa. Love the scene you've created with snow and how you've added the sentiment and threes too. Have a lovely evening. Hugs Bettina xx

fabulous card, the texture is brill. Elaine
I do love your sky -- really neat. I keep looking for metal I can recycle but the only cans I have are way to thick to do anything with. Maybe I should start eating Altoids.
I really like studying this card.

You are such a tease! Got me all excited for a snow day and then it turns out to be a hoax...
I'm thinkin' when I do get a snow day, I'll be coming to visit so you can show me how you manage to fit so much awesomeness on one card!!!! I love how you so modestly explain how you made the background, like it just creates itself, and those trees are beyond amazing!! Add to that your wonderfully colored image, the super cute snowman and the fun sentiment and we have the epitome of fantabulousness!!!! (how's that for an adjective?!)
