Gotham Baby Blocks

 Hello, hello, hello!!
I just finished making my project for The Cutting Cafe and I had the terrific help of my son too.
Here is Fun With Blocks and our creation.
This started out with the blocks spelling Grayson and when my son walked into the room I had a giraffe standing by the G, a rainbow over the R and etc...you know, all cutsie for a baby boy, but....
that's when he explained to me that they are naming their son Grayson after the character Dick Grayson aka Robin from the movie Batman.
 SO....
All the cutsie stuff came off and this became the replacement creation.
Even includes the Riddler's question mark
Does't Robin look so dashing as a super-hero sidekick sitting on this superb block?
Nothing like having to dismantle a project 1/2 way through, but the time was well spent with the boy and I think we ended up making a cute room decor for little Grayson.
Thank you so much for your visit and your time!!
Hugs n' Happy Crafting,
Lisa x

Hi there Lisa, I agree with Pia - it's totally awesome. The recipients will be thrilled - you are so so creative. Very clever with the joker and question mark. Robin looks very nimble indeed. He sure must work out a lot! Gotham City and little Grayson will sleep soundly with that protection. Hope you are clear of all the snow by now. Nicola x

Hello Q
Well I knew your son inherited your creative gene, and goodness has he not inspired you in this project. I thought you were one of a kind when it came to projecting the quirkiness of your imagination into works of brilliance and humour, but I suspect you have an equal in the making, if not already made.
Love yours(and No1 son) interpretation of the name into your design of the blocks, I am sure it is going to sit in his bedroom for a long time. Great work.
Smiles:)

Cleaver lady! This is way better than baby blocks! You are so sweet to create this from their reason why they named their son. Did that make sense, sipping wine here. Love what you did and thanks for the visit to my blog, love the humor! Yes my fingers were a mess and they are soft now from all the glue, it was like a paraffin wax treatment! lol
