Let The Easter Tree Begin....

Hello, hello, hello!!
I made it official yesterday. I finally took the Christmas wreath off the front door!
I'm finding myself seasonally challenged of late. The door with the wreath, the tree still has Valentine ornaments on it and outside a miracle was performed and the temps rose above 60!
It's still not officially Spring yet, so I won't get my hopes up that old man winter is done with his nasty tricks, but in any case, the tree will be up to date and ready for Easter.

Ornament 1
Painted & Decoupaged Nicecrane

They started out as pink plastic eggs from The Dollar Store.
First round was stickles in a flourish pattern for a little texture and framing for the flowers.
Next came the painting...
All three painted!
Then flowers applied and then crackle applied.
Birds nest with twine, shredded brown bag and a little moss.
All inspired by the wonderful talent of Ignacio's shop

And here I got them all to smile for a closeup.
I managed to finish these all at the butt-crack of dawn because now daylight savings is having its way with me. I cannot. I repeat CANNOT stand Springing forward.
I know I sound grumpy..I'm really not..I just need SLEEPY!!!  Lol.
Hugs n Happy Crafting....
Lisa x

Gorgeous eggs and so creative to put them on the lovely nests! We're looking at a possible wintery-mix Wednesday night with a temp of 29 and today it was 68! I want spring!

Okay - I have had it! I really do not understand why you do not create your own book of makes and techniques. You are so talented Lisa and you know I have been saying this for years. These eggs are fabulous - fabulous! I almost wet my pants when you said they are plastic eggs. I have to do some - I just have to do some. Truly wonderful! Have I slobbered enough for you!

Time change, yes it's making my whole office grumpy. They are guys so it's extra fun.

I LOVE THESE EGGS! Have you thought about that silver tape? I am thinking about that now that I saw these...embossed and then painted...the little design you drew made me think of that....

Super super cool! And ROCK STAR IMAGES too from Ignacio!

LOL Butt-crack of dawn ay. Love that. I don't mind the more daylight in the afternoons, but morning sucks. Love your crafty clever eggs. You must keep the dollar stores in business. I never see what you see when I go in there. Looking forward to a tree update. Hugs!

Absolutely delightful. You are a genius at creating 3-D pieces. Love your eggs and their sweet little nests. They definitely brightened my day. Spring is fickle even in my neck of the north Florida woods. One day it's 80 and the next day it goes down to 38 at night and the high is 55. But the blooming trees are starting to pop and in a couple of weeks the dogwoods and azelas will put on their spring show. Can't wait! Hope spring gets there soon for you too!

Hugs,
Linda

LOVE these too and would never have guessed they were plastic eggs!!

I'm still trying to adjust to the 'spring forward' and the girls started complaining the first night about how the sun was still up when they started getting ready for bed...

First off I have to say that I am glad that I am not the only one who is seasonally challenged. I think that we finally took all the Christmas cards off of the Piano along with the Valentine's ones about the middle of March. Now it is time for me to collect all the Easter, birthday and Anniversary ones! Yup, I just can't seem to keep up with the seasonal ornaments this year.

Now as far as your eggs go, what a freakin' fabulous idea. You always come up with the best ideas. I'll have to remember something like this for the future.

Hugs,
Lisa
