Never Ever Not Even Once Before....

If you have a calendar nearby, grab it and mark this down.
From now on, we shall celebrate annually the year that Lisa finished her Christmas cards in JULY!
It's true. I kid you not.  I started a New Year's Resolution list of things to do that I'd never done before. The list contains 17 items and finish cards early was #4...Done!!

There are 5 cards similar to this style...

Last year I was in complete panic- procrastination mode. You know the one where you're freaking out but continually maneuvering yourself in endless circles and complete a total of zilch!

One thing I do remember from all the frenzy was making cards that cost a pretty penny to send in the mail.

This year I decided for a variety of simplicity and perhaps less "puff."

There are a set of 5 of this style. Each with different stocking paper designs.

I created 5 of these designs as well....

This one, I think, is probably my favorite of this series.

And lastly...the little cardinal on a branch.
For those that prefer a more 'vintage' touch, there's this style.
I created 2 sets of each of these.

This was created by grabbing scraps in my paper drawer and cutting out tags.  The house became an after thought in which case evolved the sentiment that I typed on the PC.
There's a total of 4 of this type.

Here's the card that got out of hand and reminded me to ease up on the 'poof' of layering. It would be nice if they fit in the envelopes.  :)
There's 4 like this that vary in background DP.
I really like the chevron pattern.

And the final design I decided on was this layered tree made from scraps and simple torn white CS.   There are also 4 of this style.

There you have it ... Christmas completed in July!
I hope this gives you some ideas for your card plans.
Thank you so very much for your time and visit.
Hugs and Happy Crafting to you,
Lisa x

Wow Lisa - amazingly beautiful cards. Love them all and their simplicity and beauty.
Being a Scot I adored the Scottie Dog. Where did you get him from? Is he a stamp? (I did have one and ruined it with the wrong ink)I just love anything with Scottie Dogs and Thistles lol

Hi Lisa,
You're one smart cookie, making all those lovely cards this early, using scraps and making sure they all fit in their envelopes... Very awesome! Every December I say, I'm going to do mine early, yet every December, I find myself doing the Christmas card dash ;) Your cards turned out beautiful.
Hugs,
Lisa

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! Who are you and what have you done with my partner in procrastination?!
These are absolutely fabulous and I just know that you made all of them for me so I won't have to rush at the last minute to get mine done, right?? But seriously, they are all so fabulous that I can't pick one favorite! I love the sled and cardinal, and the vintage cards are gorgeous! Of course, I'd be thrilled to receive any (or all) of them!! wink!wink!nudge!nudge!

How is that possible?! Congratulations... and even more so on the fact that they are all gorgeous! The first one already had my jaw dropping - what fabulous bold banners and patterns against the krafy background - and then I adore the inky snowdrift ones. You're right, the sled is probably my favourite - so cool! Oh, the patchwork tree too... Brilliant work, Lisa... now you can put your feet up until December (hmmm...)!

Fantastic designs, I do love your favorite one too! They're all special in their own way. And bonus points for not making them heavy weight either!

If you keep up these gorgeous crafts and heavy laden pieced posts, I might have to just stop following you, because I am so JEALOUS!!! Not only do you make the most gorgeous and creative pieces, but you make so many in such a short amount of time. How do you do it? Gorgeous Christmas going on here!!!!

sigh....I could never pick a favorite from these. Each and every one is perfect. I agree that flatter, excuse me, less poofy, is much better for mailing. I'm jealous. I don't have the first Christmas card made. Way to go Twang! Hugs!
