12 Tags of Christmas Ornament 2

Mason Jar Lid Ornament 2
Hello and welcome back!
It's my second entry for the 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge.  This entire challenge I'll be submitting mason jar lid ornaments. I hope you enjoy them and they inspire you to play along in the fun at

As with all my entries each year, I like to pick a common theme and then embellish it based on what inspires me from Linda's challenge tags.  This year you will see that I have chosen to convert Mason Jar Lids and plastic snowflakes (melted below with heat tool) as the common elements.

This is Linda's inspiration tag #2.  What truly knocked my socks off at first glance were the red  bows and that fabulous background.  I've included a picture to detail what I used to make a similar background for my ornament.  The following details that peaked my interest  was the paper star and the clear snowflake.  I chose to duplicate like things on my ornament as well.

Handmade Kraft 3D stars glazed with Stickles and red gingham bow.
I'm getting so excited to see what these will look like on the Christmas tree!
If I have your interest peaked, then please pop over for a look at this year's contest and start making your very own craft interpretation of Linda's 12 Tags of Christmas challenge!!

Beautiful - love the melted version of the snowflake, way better than how it originally was. Fabulous and have a wonderful weekend.

I dont know how you do it! I'd love to be a fly on the wall watching you work. I couldn't believe this started as a mason jar lid and yes.. I did stare for a while.. but now I see it, and I'm stunned by the transformation. I'm looking forward to seeing them all! The gingham bow and stars give this a cozy home sort of feel too!

Thanks for showing the shrunked up snowflake. Whew that felt good to throw some red neck language in there. Been a while since we spoke regular like now fer sure. I was wonderin' how much it would shrink down. Love them thar stars too. They look like them ole anteek ones you find in the flee markets. This years tree is gonna be prettier than a speckled pup girl. Hugs!

This just knocks my socks off! So beautiful, and full of rustic charm. Hope you don't mind if copy you a teensy bit? My DD has a mason jar obsession, and I have to make her one of these!
