Vintage Memories

I just found this stamp and it inspired me to make a vintage card.

Here is my card

Here is a sample card that I used for the background.  Mine is more difficult to see as I have covered it with "vintagness."

Trapunto is a whole cloth quilting technique which produces a raised surface on the quilt.  As you can see here, it's also a very popular technique for  cards as well.

Happy Stamping!

Once Upon A "Template" Time (Chickadee)

This month for our stamping club, I was asked to pick the template that each one of us would base our cards off of.
This is similar to the Bird On a Branch that I posted earlier, but the difference is that I made these to be stand-alone cards.  Also, the different embellishments of a pocket and hair-clip to meet the sketch requirements.
Here is the card that I designed for each member of the club.

The template that I used came from my Inspiration Sketch on this blog.

Once we exchange our cards, I will post their cards here as well!

Eclectic Easter Eggs

I was looking at Faberge eggs this morning and decided to tinker around with some concept eggs.  I designed one egg by dry and powder embossing, then using an X-ACTO knife, cutting out pieces.  The blue egg was designed using the scored tile technique.  The pink egg is emboss resist and the green egg is woven with two colors of ribbon.
The card front is decorated with an actual envelope that is cut at the bottom and adhered then painted with pink Pearl X.
The Happy Easter is embossed with white and the card is scored along the outside for depth.

Here is my rendition of eclectic Faberge Easter eggs.
