Holly Boy & Poinsettia Girl....

Holly Boy
Here it is...the final milk carton for the tree.
As sad as I am to see this challenge end, I'm also so excited that now I get to go and forage for cute little advent gifts to put inside of them.

Poinsettia Girl
After many attempts at making a homemade birdcage in 3D, I opted for printing images onto the gingham paper instead.  All the images, except for the 25, are from The Graphics Fairy.
In keeping with tradition, I stayed with vintage images and thought this cute little holiday boy and girl were perfect to match my kids.

Christmas Eve Time
After cutting out the birdcage imaged paper, I applied clear and iridescent ice embossed snowflakes to the paper.  Cut apart a suede poinsettia flower and applied winter white embossed snowflakes to the leaves.  Hand drew and cut holly leaves and the rest of the printed images.  I applied the golden mesh to a piece of acetate paper and ran it through the BigShot with the Spellbinder's snowflake die.  Cut the ends off of some square red gem brads, grabbed some clear gems and then began to adhere them all together.  Finished off the project by punching out the 25 and placing a clear puffy adhesive window over them.  Tied a little twine bow and that was that.

Here is the beautiful tag that offers many ideas to work from.
Linda's Inspiration Tag
The luscious elements that Linda combined here are fantastic and it was difficult to stay focused on exactly what I wanted to incorporate in mine, so I took several items from her inspiration tag.
I LOVE the gingham background paper, the birdcage, the holly leaves, the hatpin gems, the 25 and the snowflakes.  LOL, well, gosh, I pretty much cased the entire thing.
Adding my own ideas to it and the burst of reds.

This was such an incredible challenge and I'm so thankful for the new tradition that has begun in our home of 12 little milk cartons on a tree. One to be opened everyday, starting the 12th day before Christmas.

That's it for me..
Thank you for stopping in, I hope you like it.

Hugs and Happy Stamping...
Lisa xx

Well Lisa
What a fabulous idea to print birdcages on your paper, it looks great. The carton as a whole is wonderful. I am already wondering what Challenge to sink my teeth into now that this one has finished, I just so enjoyed the expectation of Wednesdays, but alas it is over.....
This is a tradition that your children will look forward each year Lisa and hopefully they will carry it on.
Smiles:)

Got my pc eye balls on now. WOW!!! I can't believe we're at the last of them!!!! So sad. I am working on our advent calendar. So far I am up to day 5 which happens to coincide with the fact that day is the 5th day. I guess I'll cut out the 6th one tomorrow! There is never enough time to craft.

Another sensational milk carton. The plaid is terrific and I love the poinsettia kids and other vintage images you have used here. I so wish I could see the entire series IRL - I'm sure they are just amazing. I am so thrilled at the way you embraced this challenge and put your own stamp on it. What a cool tradition you have started for your family. Thanks so much for being so supportive and helping to make the challenge so much fun for me. You have definitely been an inspiration all of us!

Hugs,
Linda
