I will not procrastinate! Repeat repeatedly...

Yea, yea, I know...
I said I would fight the power and not make New Year's Resolutions, but hey...
I'll take all the help I can get when it comes to getting organized.  I have to admit, I'm a wee bit OCD when it comes to this.  It already bugs me to call it OCD, not for the grammatical aspect, but the alphabetical order of it...CDO is much more suiting!
I digress...
Back to getting organized and that particular task at hand.  I would like to thank the challenges going on over at ABC Christmas Challenges and Karen's Doodles for helping me start and eventually complete my Christmas cards for 2012.
I would have started at ABC sooner, but yet again, it didn't seem right to start at "W" so I patiently waited, biding my time until "A" rolled back around.  Finally it has arrived and the new ventures have begun with a sprint, quite like horses fleeing the gates.  I'm not sure where the hell the horses went to, but here I am at a slow and steady trot.  So far so good and I hope that I am able to see this mission to "Z" before I see the pasture!

Bigsby Candy Cane from Karen's Doodles
Accented with Spellbinders Circles, Tim Holtz Holly, Pine and Acorn, Candy Cane charm from stash and the cutest Vintage tag gifted to me by Lori.

Karen's Doodles is having a Paper Piecing challenge currently (pssst...also a DT call if anyone is interested!) and I thought I'd combine the two together just for stuff n' giggles.  I went beyond nuts with this and everything except Bigsby's body is pieced.   That little cutie, I tackled with Copics.

I'd also like to thank Pandora Radio for keeping me motivated as well.  Were it not for the  soul inspiring music of Mumford and Sons, one of my fave groups, oh and the Penguin Cafe Orchestra (A Brief History).  DOH! Almost forgot Philip Wesley too (Light and Shadow) and of course Adele (21);  I dare say I would still be sitting here trying to locate the littlest pieces of that candy cane precariously hidden on my elbow!

It was an amazing crafting afternoon and I hope the card is easy on the eyes for you. :)

Thanks SO much for stopping in today and HEY.....
ALL of your comments just mean so much to me, so Thank You!

Hugs and awesome chair dancing while crafting...
Lisa xx

p.s.  I'd love any suggestions you might have for music.  It's alway fun to see what different music guides your mind to create.

Challenges I would like to enter:
ABC Christmas Challenge - "A" is for Anything Goes
Karen's Doodles - Paper Piecing

Gosh, your organised Lisa! Maybe I need a little of the OCD affliction to get things going around here, lol. Love your cute Christmas card, that little mouse has the right idea just hanging around waiting for Christmas to roll around again.

There is a huge generation gap I feel, who the h... are Mumford and Sons and Penquins?
I also have a huge problem with acronyms, I do not like them only because I do not have a clue what half of them mean!
My music is a little bit classical.... I can hear you groan from here Q!
Anyway let us get to the nitty-gritty on why I am here in the first instance, and that is to pass comment on your latest creation.
I love paper piecing and your design suits the technique wonderfully, you have coloured Bigsby in beautifully, and I know exactly what your working area was like with all those teeny weeny bits, that were going to add so much dimension to this card. It was worth every little bit of modus operandi to complete this technique so perfectly, and of course you have mastered it, a card that is grand and handsome, and yes very easy on the eye.
Smiles:)

Oh, so much to comment on in this post! How much space do I have? LOL at the resolution issue because I feel your pain! That's why I did the once a week scrapbook post. I do think the ABC Christmas will be great to motivate you to stick with it!
Your card is Awesome (also beginning with A!)and I can only imagine what you went through with all of those bits of paper, but it was worth it!
As far as music, I have very eclectic tastes. I love almost every form of music from classical and jazz to metal and alternative, but unfortunately, unless I am home alone, I'm usually listening to whatever the family has on the TV (Disney...a lot!-can you tell I have to create at the kitchen table?!)
I will be looking forward to seeing your creation for B!!!

Simply adorable card Lisa...love the piecing..into that too at the moment, very cute image, and sorry, have no idea who your music favourites are...I cannot craft to music, as I start singing, the dog starts howling, and as my head is down colouring, and I'm singing...I drool!!..not nice...so I usually have movies on...so I can just listen...and look up occasionally...

Lisa Jane has a good idea with Pink although I was going to say Whitesnake...and don't go look up Bad Girl Friend by Theory of A Deadman as I don't admit to having listened to that.

And IF I had a design team, you'd totally be on it.

Love this card! I do wish you lived next door. I have had that pinecone die and HAVE TO USE IT! I will be on that next. Now you've inspired me!

SO, all that paper piecing has me weak. How you have the patience, I don't know. Bit this is why all your stuff looks so amazing. I think the outside is as goos as within! It awes me to look at your projects, and the 12 gazillion things you make happen in them!

Hehehe, I'm a chair dancer too. Now we really have to meet in real life. :-) Love your card and good for you making those Christmas cards waaaayyy ahead of time, LOL. Seriously, good 4 U!
Congrats on the new DT position and glad your crafty time was especially productive. You keep me in stitches.
Hugs,

P.S. Music-well in the day I was into heavy metal (insert my kids rolling eyes)because "of course" it wasn't ReaLLy heavy metal compared to today's standards. Nowadays, I listen to a wide variety of music & I really like Adele. I have to admit, Ozzy's Crazy Train & Black Sabbath's Iron Man still gets my blood pumpin'as well as a little AC/DC Back in Black and .....

oooohhh love how you did this card with the cut out circle! Making my brain work and hopefully will remember this by tomorrow if I get time to craft! And just love all the embellies. Seems like I haven't gotten off my ass to visit blogs in what seems like forever...so you almost made me pee my pants with the Valley girl impersonation. That was pretty good, and my friend (the non-crafting one but visits my blog to read what everyone says, and thank goodness she doesn't have a blog because she was born without a verbal filter) actually thinks she's friends with you and if you miss a post, she's calling me asking what happened to the funny one. I have to remind her, listen chicky, Dory doesn't know you and to make you feel better I'm sure she is fine! No worries I'm not blog pimping or anything, but letting you know you've set a standard for funny now!
