Friday Friendship Freebies

Happy happy Joy joy...it's FRIDAY!!!
Well, I hope you are ready for a relaxing and wonderful weekend and if you have some time in your craft room, here's a little tutorial for making some flowers using punches!
My wonderful husband just returned home from overseas last week and yesterday when I got home, there was a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on the table for me!!!  WOO HOO!!!
Well, there's a catch..under the gorgeous flowers was a piece of paper detailing the purchase of his new car!! Bwhahahahahaha....
Anyway, I love the flowers and was sitting there admiring them while visiting blogs and I saw my dear blogger friend, Lisa S posted this and I was so inspired to make my own.  Since I didn't have the die cut to make those particular flowers, I decided to use what I do have and challenged myself to just use punches. So, here they are...
The first thing I decided to do was select images of flowers I really liked and tried to duplicate them.  The top picture is my inspiration photo and below that shows you the punch and cuts and final product.
Flower 1

Using Stampin' Up! Bird Builder Punch

Flower 2

Using Stampin' Up! Modern Label Punch

 Flower 3

Using Stampin' Up! Owl Builder Punch

 Flower 4

Using Stampin' Up! Heart Punch

Flower 5

I was inspired by Linda's use of TH Tattered Pinecone for making roses, so I tried that too.  Also added a few hot glue droplets for dew.

 Homemade Baby's Breath

I'm sure a lot of you probably already use your punches to make flowers so if you have some neat ideas using other punches, please leave me a comment as I'd love to learn new ideas too!

Have a great weekend everyone and happy crafting!!
Lisa xx

You are just too clever..love all your flowers, my favourite being 1,2,3,4,5...I only make one flower with a scallop punch...3 big and 4 small punched out shapes, all screwed up,till they represent a ball of nothing, open gently, put together with a brad, then spread the edges till they look like carnations..or modern roses..thats about my limit..

Have a wonderful weekend.

Marvelous job on your flowers my sweet friend. Would you please tell your wonderful husband , who I thank for his service to his country more than he will ever know, that I hope he wanted a hell of a lot more than a new car. Cars come and go but wives, well honey, they are forever. I know y'all cannot hear my deep Southern Voice but believe me it is there. All I want to know sweet Lisa, is there a big smile on your face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope all is well with your hubby. I imagine it's an adjustment having him back home. Did he buy something conservative or a boy toy? :-)

Oh my goodness, these are so true to life L2! Holy Cow girl!! I can't pick a fave because I love'em all. It amazes me how you took the punches you had and created some of these shapes. I need me some punches lol. Actually I do have them on my shopping list as I'm flower punch poor. Alas, it never ends does it???
Well let's hope that hubs bought a boy toy so you guys can go cruising. :D You only live once!!!
Have a great weekend my crafty friend,

Oh, how I wish my brain worked like yours does, Lisa! Alas, my feet are just too stuck in the "furrows" for me to be that creative.
So very happy for you that your Sweetie is finally back home. I hope he gets to stay home for a good long time now.
Many hugs and kisses, Lynn

Hello!

The flowers are BEAUTIFUL - perfection! I love them all! The layout of the pieces where you used the label punch reminded me of Charlie Chaplan - would you believe it! :<) I am so happy for you that your husband is home safe and sound again! Wishing you a happy day today!

Hugs,

Once again, bowing down to your brilliant creativity! Would never in a million years have seen a flower in the bird, owl, or label punches!! Your flowers are absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful tribute to the real things!
So if a new car equates a bouquet of flowers, it must be an economy car right? :D So glad your family is all together in one place again!
