Country Bumpkin' Pumpkin...

Has anyone else noticed an influx of spiders lately? That's usually a good indication that Halloween is just around the corner. I love the nature made decorations; especially the strategically placed cobweb spanning the entire area of my front door entry. Nothing like taking in your first whiff of crisp morning air as you step outside and completely engulf yourself in stringy, sticky webbing. Awesome!!  Followed by the "I'm freakin' out here!" heebie jeebie dance to unravel yourself which becomes totally futile. Awwww, Autumn...I love it!
I'd like to submit to the jury exhibit A
So in honor of this glorious season, I've designed my Make It Monday DT card around this theme.  Here are a couple Country Star Pumpkins from Meljen's that I've colored up in copics and added a few hand drawn ghosties and bitty spider to accent the holiday.  The layout of the card was inspired by this Mojo Monday sketch and finished off with a bit of faux stitching.  If you have something you'd like to share with us, old or new, please stop by and link it up to our latest linky party and you'll be in the drawing to win the prize from our sponsor, Meljen's Designs, of 4 single digis!!
Now the fun part, my...
 PICK OF THE WEEK!
Here is Lorianna's gorgeous vintage card with a stunning image and airbrushed feather.  For more on her card, visit her blog Lorianna's Corner. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Have a great week everyone!
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

Ewwww...I'm sorry, I was all set to compliment you on your amazing, fantastic, fabulously wonderful card but as soon as I set eyes on that giant spider (he's at least the size of Tokyo, right?), I lost all consciousness...
Well, at least I didn't spit my coffee out! ;D

Guffaw! You always make me laugh Lisa! I heard that the spiders start to move into homes because it's getting too cold outside for them and it's certainly getting chilly here in the UK!

Love this card - it's so interesting to look at! The cobweb, texture, googly eyes - I love it all!

Such a fabulous card Lisa - love that web on your card - and great colouring. I don't like the real spider by your front door - it looks huge!

Hehehe, are you really afraid of spiders??? So is my DD and the one thing she hates is all the spiderwebs where we live. You sure you aren't her long lost aunt. I do remember you asking me to adopt you on several occasions so guess I'm gonna have to draw up the paperwork and make it official. ;-) You are hereby dubbed her "honorary auntie."

Terrific card L2 that captures the spookiness of Halloween in a fun way. Love the colors and all the details you incorporated on this card. Also, hats off to you for doing an amazing job on the MIM post. Congrats! Have a great week, hugs.

That is like a spider on steroids and how gross gross gross. I bet you felt like you had spider webs hanging on you all day long! Well and speaking of spider webs, love how you've done the embossed spider web on your card and the googly eyes on your critters are perfect.

Well Honey Chilll' - those old country bumpkin quilts sell for a fortune! Only those rich Yankees from up North can afford to buy them. Is that a carpetbagger? I get confused. Your Halloween card is so cute - I'll take the pumpkins and you can have the ghost, skeleton and spider! That's fair.

Hi Lisa, I've got the insect spray in one hand and a shoe in the other, I do not like spiders. If they come inside, they go out in a body bag, ha,ha,ha (evil laugh). Your card really pops with that fab spiderweb. Love your colouring on the pumpkins and your ghosts and spider.
Gorgeous POTW, fab embossing and love her hat!!!
Hugs, Sandy

Love your spooky Halloween card! Especially the little guys in the bottom corner with the googly eyes!! Yes! More spiders here too - my son has been checking the field guide and identifying them too. YUCK!

I heard a rumor that you were left in charge... I told Lisa S I would begin collecting bail money now! hehehe!
Your card is wonderful! Love the burlapy fabric behind the wonderful pumpkins and those little critters peeking out are too cute!
I always make the rest of the family walk out first so I can enjoy their dance moves!! DH gets a little upset that I'm usually just short enough to miss the big one across the door frame. At least there is one benefit to my vertically challenged body...
