I hope Santa's not lactose intolerant...

I'm SO getting in the mood for Christmas!
Here's a free digi I drew last night to help you get in the
 holiday spirit.

Annual Family Photo

Now on to the post....

Linda, at The Funkie Junkie,
is running the perfect challenge for me.
She's having the 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge.
Every week she'll post a tag and you can pull anything from it for inspiration.
I am thrilled because I haven't started Christmas cards yet and this is the perfect motivation to get me started.
Plus, you have until December to to enter all the challenges, even if she's already posted them.
Sweet!!

Here is Linda's tag for
Week One Challenge

Here is what I've chosen to make for this challenge.
I was really drawn to the vintage advertisement paper in Linda's tag and so I went with

  Letters To Santa
Milk carton template comes from
for FREE!
I love the time of year when little ones write out their wish lists to Santa and send them off in the mail.  That's why the carton starts out with little addressed envelopes.
This side represents the small children who send letters to Santa

Here I put on some Spellbinder's snowflakes and a bottle top.
I know this is a milk carton, but the inside joke in our house is that one Christmas Eve I told the kids that maybe Santa is tired of milk.  Maybe he'd rather like a Pepsi instead.
So, cool....he got it too!
So I included a bottle top with a gel sticker of Santa.

This side represents the night that the children await to find out what Santa picked on their lists and one last shot of bribery via the temptations of beverage and snack.
This side represents what happens after the kids set out milk and cookies.
The family gathers together and reads the story
'Twas The Night Before Christmas.

Thank you Chrissy for the tutorial on how to make this little book!

I've decided that instead of a chocolate calendar,
I'll make a milk carton for every 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge.
They will each have a number on the bottom 1-12.
Starting the 12th day before Christmas,
my kids will open up number 1 and find a surprise inside for both of them.
Could be money, could be candy, could be a treasure map to a gift hidden in the house...
the possibilities are endless and oh so fun!

Thank you Linda for a wonderful challenge and
Thank you friends for stopping by and visiting.
Happy stamping and crafting,
Lisa xx

I think the next cartoon in the series, Momma Snowman is having a martini on the rocks. Or maybe a nice glass of ice wine.

Holy moly, this is absolutely fabulous, Lisa! I just love all the vintage inspired elements you have created and especially how everything has a meaning behind it. And what a wonderful idea to use the milk cartons as a family activity during the holiday season.
