Let It Snow! It's okay, my kids can shovel...

I'm feeling pretty spry for only having 4 1/2 hours of sleep,
thank you Folgers coffee!

Not sure if it's a delusional state of creativity due to lack of sleep,
desire to procrastinate on the house chores,
or my muse is with me, but I've been able to hit the craft table like a mad woman.

Here's my second post for the day and if you missed the
TOP TIP TUESDAY challenge I posted earlier,
you can scroll down for that one. :)

A work in progress
This is the beginning of my second milk carton for the
12 Tags of Christmas.

Here is Linda's  beautiful tag example for the second challenge.
Each project we make for the challenge has to be inspired from the given tag.
Here is my project.
Let It Snow
I drew inspiration from the snowflakes and the chunky black numbers.
When I started thinking about the theme for this carton, I knew I would go with snow.
Who likes to watch snow?  People!
If you scroll back up to the first picture, you'll notice the white faces I've stamped with versamark and embossed with clear powder and then highlighted over with light blue and brown ink.
So each side of the carton shows a chunky black letter for the word NOEL and then small letters and a chipboard letter to coordinate as well.
Various snowflakes are embedded into the carton with an embossing swirl folder and then hanging sporadically on each side.
Loved the earth tones on the tag so I used twine to accessorize.

Lastly, if you noticed in the first picture, Linda has a small section of mesh behind her snowflake.  I loved that idea, so I took a clear block, mounted some foam pad onto it.  Placed a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece of self-adhesive mesh to the foam, inked it up in brown and stamped in various places the image of mesh.
Well, that's it for now.  Two down and 10 more to go once Linda posts the 3rd challenge.
You have plenty of time if you want to join in the fun!
Happy stamping everybody...
Lisa xx
