Alice In Wonderland Tea Cup Cards

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
The irony of that quote...LOL...
Almost seems as if it was written for my blog!
Ahem, right then, on with it...

I worked on these yesterday so that I could show you some of the amazing variety over at
All of the Alice In Wonderland images are from Nicecrane Designs.
Here is Alice and The DodoBird
Alice is colored with Copics, but I've left the Dodo bird black and white for fun.  If you notice the tea cup in the back, you will see that I've also divided it between black and white on the left and color on the right.
I originally had her dress yellow then showed it to my daughter who said, "Her dress is supposed to be blue, Mom."  Miffed, I sat back down and grabbed a blue copic and began coloring.  "Oh, you big moron!" is what I said to myself.
Next week when I go volunteer at the elementary school, I'll be making time to sit in on the art class and relearn my color wheel.
Yellow + Blue = GREEN...geesh!

The Toad that delivers mail in Alice In Wonderland
He is also colored in Copics.  Originally I think the legs were to be white for stockings, but I wanted more green on him so I colored them in as his actual skin color.
I did not try to match any specifics on their outfits from the original movie.  I just wanted to color them however I saw fit.
I received those cute little playing cards from Pamela at Free Vintage Digital Stamps, in a blog candy win.  They fit perfectly with the theme.
The Mad Hatter
He is also colored in Copics.
I think he's probably my favorite.
I just love that pocket watch and the hat and the numbers on his hat, and the vest and, yeah, he's definitely my favorite.

These are the fabulous digital stamps I used and if you're interested in checking them out, just click the picture.
OR...if you have issues with colors like me, here are the pre-colored images as well.
As much fun as these teacup cards were to make, they wouldn't have been possible were it not for the other outstanding free digital images found at The Graphic's Fairy, (teacups, clock and birdcage images were used) Magic Moonlight, and Paper Crafts Online Downloadable Sentiments and the waiter hand with "drink" coming out of the teacup is from my old 2011 chef calendar.  Always handy to keep those things around for neat-o whatnots.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Lisa !!

This is a repost, but I would like to link up to The Graphic's Fairy for Brag Monday

Holy crapola!!Talk about Wonderland!! These are amazing and you have done an incredible job of showing off these images! The coloring is crazy cool (even if you forgot how to mix colors for a bit! hehe!)and I love all of the bits and pieces added to create the 'total picture'! And yes, we are a little mad...why else would anyone spend tons of money and countless hours to create things that so few appreciate and understand! Besides, who couldn't use a little madness now and then!

You absolutely just completely rock the vintage world! You sure you were born in the late 60s early 70s?:) And as you know most of the time I could be Alice's friend and companion in the mad mad world!

Hello Q
I can understand why 'The Mad Hatter' is your favourite! You may have something in common!!!!Ha...
What a wonderful exhibition of art work you have given us this week, I really am running out of superlatives where you are concerned, it is obvious that the images from 'Nicecrane' are drawing out the best in you, as every piece you have coloured up is just delightful. And you know Q I like how you put your own take on the characters, this is your creative genius at work and long may it continue, there should be NO RULES where artistic expression is concerned. WELL DONE.
I have you to thank also for 'Nicecrane images' liking my comment on your previous post and offering me a free image, how about that!
Smiles:)
