Well, Of "Corset" I Love You....

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that it's almost Monday! Am I suffering from a head injury, you ask?  Nope, nothing like that, it's just that I spent the entire weekend chauffeuring teenagers around  and then stayed up too late waiting for them to get home and I'm exhausted!  I remember when weekends were relaxing...I think that time has passed.  I now look forward to the Monday when they go back to school and I can sit back and catch my breath.  My mother warned me it would be like this....funny how mom's never know anything at the time, until you are one and then they are OH SO right!
I guess that must mean that I'm completely clueless to my children....ha!

Speaking of my mom,
THANK YOU SO MUCH
to everyone who left the most wonderful and touching comments on my last post tribute to my mother.  I just have to tell you all that it was so wonderful to read the very sweet words to her and myself.  You all made her day and she wanted me to tell you how much it meant to her; from the bottom of her heart. :)  Like I said in my post, ya'll are just an amazing group of people and I'm so honored to have met you in the bloggy land!

Ok, back to business...
Well there's another reason that I look forward to this day, because it means that there's an ANYTHING GOES LINKY PARTY
at

Offering the prize of their downloadable paper collection at the value of £5 !
So please come over to Make It Monday and share your inspirational projects with us and enjoy the inspiration of our lovely DT ladies and all the other amazing crafters who ohhhhh and awwwwwe us everyday!

Just like this one, my...
PICK OF THE WEEK!
Just like every week, picking only one card to showcase is daunting, but I've managed to painstakingly do it.  Not this week however, I'm breaking the rules and had to show off two.

Here is pick #1 from
The compliment of colors on the card to the image is fabulous and I love the "crisp" design and well placed embellishment accents.  A beautiful Just Because card!

 Here is #2 from
An Alice In Wonderland Paper Shoe!
Who wouldn't want to walk a runway in these bad boys?
Seriously amazing!!
Thank you ladies for sharing your amazing talent with us at

Here's my little card
Corset close-up from Free Vintage Digital Stamps (FVDS)!
I've taken the corset and printed it out as well as the roses that I printed out from another image at FVDS.   Below is the linked image of the roses that I used and if you click it, it will direct you right over to her collage category.  Just scroll down a bit when it opens and you'll see this picture. :)

I used a soft blue cardstock for the card and edged with TH vintage photo distress ink.  Cut out the roses I wanted from the collage and then dry embossed them with a stylus to give some definition and depth to them.  Adhered them to the backside of the corset and then mounted them on adhesive foam squares.  Tied a soft green ribbon from my stash and popped in a TH adore tag.
Not too much fluff or puff, just a simple vintage image that says, I love you.

Ok, that's it for me on this post.
Thank you so much for stopping in and have a wonderful day!!

Hugs and Happy Crafting!
Lisa xx

Love your card and all the digital goodness you share with us. I've missed something the past few days so will check out your previous posts when I finish. As for your weekly picks I totally agree, it had to be two. Each one unique and full of craft goodness. I'm going to share the Alice project with my dd because she's an Alice fan, big time.
Off to check out your post about your mom.
Big Hugs,
Lisa S. (L2, lost in Tennessee)

Gorgeous card! Makes me so happy I don't have to wear one of those, it's much prettier filled with flowers :)
Your picks of the week are wonderful! Two totally different styles and projects, but both equally fabulous!
LOL at wishing for Mondays! I would probably wish for Mondays, but I'm surrounded by children there too! So I just wish that Sundays after the girls go to bed would last longer!!

Glad your mom was so happy:)! I say little kids little problems, big kids big problems:)!! I think life would be great if as a parent we could just skip over the teenage years and wait until their brain cells fire on all cylinders at about the age of 25! Anyhoo, as always a wonderfully creative card, and your vintage is work is always amazing!
