When your significant other comes through the door and you're not sporting your finest sweats and comfy t-shirt, the kids are out the house, and the aspirin bottle isn't sitting on the counter...will they get the hint?
If not, maybe this little card will do the trick!
The challenge over at
Top Tip Tuesday is to make
One For The Men!
Does it need to be suggestive? Absolutely not, just what you perceive to be masculine. I just thought it would be fun to make a flirty card with earthy masculine textures.
I've embossed Kraft cardstock with a wood textured plate and added green, grey and brown ink. A slathering of Tim Holtz crackle paint and once dry, chipped away pieces with an X-ACTO knife. A strip of elastic was sewn in the center of some burlap and this flipped and duplicated image of a bunny from Free Vintage Digital Stamps as the focal point along with the sentiment typed on my PC in a little banner. Some moss was added under the bunnies for a little "manly" greenery.
There are so many wonderful takes on this masculine theme, so be sure to visit and see how the other talented ladies interpreted this challenge. Also at our mid-week post, enjoy the fabulous tutorial from Katrina on how to make a Bind It All Book!

This card cracks me up (giggle of the day too) and only you could pull it off. Your images are beautifully colored and the bark texture simply ROCKS! Seriously, your tip is a TOP TIP L2, sheer genius and perfect for manly cards. I'm visualizing a camping scene with trees where I can create my own bark. :) Before your card debut nah, wouldn't have entered my mind. You are broadening my creative horizons and you ALWAYS inspire. Yesterday you were a mad scientist in the kitchen, today ;) you're into bark and who knows what tomorrow will bring. I, for one, can't wait!!
Thanks for the warm welcome and all of your help! I am so happy to be on the TTT team. :-)
Have a swell day and big hugs to you my friend,

I don't know that I've ever had more fun reading comments on a card before! LOVE Holly's dust bunnies conclusion!!
The card itself is awesome with the bark, burlap, and moss! Muy Macho! But then you went and added the bunnies and fabulously suggestive banner and made it a card any man would LOVE to receive!!
BTW- If I wasn't wearing sweats & Tee and the girls were gone, DH would assume he forgot we were going somewhere!
What a gorgeous card! I love the monochromatic brown with just that hint of grass to go with the hint of naughtiness! Thanks so much for your lovely comment over at Words and Pictures... I'm following you right back!

Lisa, you absolutely crack me up. I pretty near spewed my Dr Pepper all over my monitor when I saw your card. I'm surprised that on the inside of your card you didn't put a whole brood of baby rabbits...
