What fun! I learned a new trick today. After nearly breaking my sewing machine, I finally suceeded in teaching myself how to sew a button hole! The ruffle on the outside is tissue paper, the base cover is cream material that I printed the polka dots onto and did a little stitching around the edges and vintaged it up with distress inks. Next came the material strips that actually latch with a button (yeah!) A pink polka dot rosette, green and brown ribbon, additional wooden button, tags, pearls and die cuts added to capture elements of this challenge that really inspired me. Join us this week at
Our Creative Corner; with our brialliant hostes Christina Barnes, for our
Christina would also like to see some polka dots and 2 or more buttons added as well. :)
So please come on over and contribute your sensational talent and while you're there, enjoy the creative workings of my talented teamies.
As always, I hope you found some inspiration here and I thank you for your visit.

Hello Q
How original, a buttonhole on a card!
I wonder if this is a first, I have to admit it is a first for me and it looks great.
But I love the design of the whole card, it is soft and fanciful, and it would not be a Q card if it did not have all the elements that you love to add to your creations, and create the interest that is so pleasing to the eye. A most beautiful card Q.
Smiles:)

Well we certainly can't "button-hole" you girl. You always come up with something fresh and new. This is beautiful. I love the softness of the background fabric piece paired with the pop of the pink and polka dots. Wonderful Project Twang!
This looks really great Lisa - I love all the do dads and I SEE your button hole. So glad you did not ruin you sewing machine! How in the world do think up all these things to do? And it turns out so pretty too!!

Lisa thanks for your kind messages. I really do appreciate them! This is a piece of artwork, girl! It's soft and lovely with a pop of color in the polka-dot rosette--which I love. The pearls are a nice touch and your button hole is an original! I don't think I've ever seen that done. It's all great!
Super cool work on that button hole, Lisa. I never would have thought of that, but now can add it to my list of things that inspire me/things I want to try. I too love that soft fabric background and that pretty collection of embellishments just finishes it off perfectly.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Ooh, it's yummy, Lisa! I absolutely love that soft, muted background, so deliciously distressed... great stuff on the buttonhole - I can't get a sewing machine to do anything but break when I sit down at it!! Gorgeous feminine card...
