I have a very precious image today from Nicecrane Designs. This image is one of 4 in a set and details two young boys building their derby car from nothing but scraps and a dream. I loved all the images, but found this one to be most depicting of inspiration and motivation.
A few masculine textures and embellishment, paired with an embossed sentiment and here's a card to help encourage perseverance.
Here are a few photos from a car show that my husband and daughter attended last week. How fitting that what these men created probably stemmed from a childhood experience quite like my card. Check out all the recycled parts!!
Thank you so much for stopping in!
Hugs n ' Happy Stamping...

i agree, your coloring is FAB!!! Ignacio is so right. I want to make one of those rat rods!! They look like a lot of fun....I can only imagine what I might break in the garage though if you handed me a welder....
Such a precious, precious image, I love it! Fun pictures, people can be so clever.
Love the elements you added to the card to help tell the story of the two boys! The twine is awesome, and I love the denim and the little nut!
The pictures are great! How fun would it be to put those bits and pieces together, and is this thing running on moonshine?! The coil coming out of the jug reminded me of the still in the Swamp from MASH!
Dang! Where'd they find grandpappy's car! i think he might need that boot back. :-) That card image is fantastic Lisa. The metal, jute and denim are perfect embellies for the feel of the card. Love this!
That image is just so darn sweet and girl you've colored it up beautifully! Can't say I'm a car lover but I can appreciate the really cool ones in these pics.

WHy does your card remind me of my dad? Every time he fixes something he has left over parts!! Your card is awesome - you shade beautifully and I love how you brought it all together with the denim and the nut! What a neat car at the show! Love the "hand" holding the mirror and that it comes with it's very own bottle opener on it!
Классная открытка!!!)))
