HO HO HO!!!
As promised,
It's the the first of December and so I decided to run this at 12:01 in the morning....
I'll be sleeping, but as you can see why....
so much excitement at my house last night!
'Twas the evening of the drawing and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The cookies were sitting with eggnog and mug,
and a letter to Santa,
with much love and a hug.
Dear Santa....
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a boy in his teen-hood,
about six feet tall,
exiting my faux fireplace...
Nope, that's not strange or weird at all!
How bizarre that he looked so much like my son,
but the beard and the hat and stocking that was slung,
I knew in a flash, 'twas the ol' jolly one!
He seemed to be thrilled with the offerings bestowed,
as he grabbed the gingerbread eggnog,
his face went all aglow!
Cuddling with milk and cookies on a plate,
I stammered to proclaim,
"Santa, you came!"
When out on the lawn,
There arose such a clatter,
I sprang from behind my camera
to see what was the matter.
When what to my surprise,
The front door swung open wide,
and entered an elf,
With the cutest of eyes!
She sprang to the table,
And took note of the spot....
With a cute little giggle,
She said, "boy, that's a lot!"
Back to the camera, I flew like a flash,
because Santa and his helper,
got right down to business!
The cute little elf, could hardly stand the excitement,
as Santa reached in his stocking and rooted around, and rooted around,
and dug a little more, and rustled the papers repeatedly to and fro.
Meanwhile the poor little elf, growing so bored,
appears to have decided to dust my shelf?
The task, once completed,
revealed the name...
of a naughty recipient
and the prize they would claim!
With a scowl on his face
Not a word did he tell,
He then did confirm,
That the winner was....
Oh how the festivities had begun,
As Santa stood in my living room and chuckled and shook,
and cute little elf,
still stood, awe struck!
Again, his hand went in,
into the stocking of names....
When quickly, his leg swung out,
And he began to do a jig!
Dancing and jumping,
celebrating all about,
Santa was way too excited to announce....
The Winner of the NICE BLOG CANDY is....
