Mason Jar Lid 6
I can't believe we're already at the 1/2 way mark for this challenge and I mean to tell you, the inspiration tags and all the entries rolling in are just incredible!! If you haven't checked out Linda's 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge yet, give yourself a visual treat and head on over to The Funkie Junkie and see for yourself!
Here's my starter lid and rusty metal spray painted snowflake.
Taking inspiration from Linda's 6th tag on the left, I was drawn to the snowflakes and her flower had a pine cone texture to it, so I added a pine cone on mine. The sentiment made me think of people so I included a little wooden family inside my lid. The random pearls symbolize the pearly snowflakes Linda used on hers.
I used the rusty spray paint to coat everything first and then added cream spray paint, black soot, wild honey Distress paints for my lid. The snowflake has speckles of black soot added and the inside background is embossed with clear powder, colored with wild honey and then stained with Oak gel stain from Americana.
A couple more closeups for detail.
The challenge is still open to play and there are wonderful prizes being offered from Linda's store
So happy you stopped in to visit me.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Lisa xx

Absolutely loving these lid ornaments! The embossed stars are gorgeous in the background, and I love all the fronds and branches making up the giant twiggy snowflake on the front, as well as the earthy natural colours - just brilliant.

I have to say I love the lid and it looks awesome. The paint effects are great. I always see those people and think what would I do with them? GREAT IDEA! I really like this one. But wait I have to see the others as well!
