Hello and welcome back wonderful people!
I was asked to share in the fun at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog this month, by my good blog buddy Jeanne (who by the way has been published in so many magazines it's crazy cool and yet remains so incredibly humble. She's truly a kind and talented lady!), for their November challenge of Thankful! I was thrilled and honored and humbly accepted and I can't wait to share with you what I used from their delightful store!
Narrowing down my options was so much harder than I thought it would be. The store is filled with stamps and die cuts and morsels of creative inspiration. Choosing a focal point was challenging, but so much fun!
Here I've used Quilted Pumpkin and Be Thankful
We have a very special tradition in my husband's family that I just adore. It's so sad when a relative passes away but they not only remember their wonderful memories together, but some of the women create a keepsake from favorite articles of clothing. One year we got a quilt made from Grandpa Sullivan's flannel shirts and another year we received a stuffed teddy bear made from Grandma Sullivan's robe. It's like being hugged by them all over again and just knowing that there's love in every stitch makes me so thankful for my family and this precious tradition.
That is why when I saw this gorgeous Autumn pumpkin with the various patterns, I thought it would be fun to paper piece it together, as if it were grandpa's flannels and then add faux stitching as well as the ever wonderful sentiment to live by.
The Thankful challenge runs for a month and there will be more inspiration coming in a few weeks, but if you'd like to participate, please refer to the rules here and then have a blast perusing the virtual aisles in Serendipity Stamps, a FABULOUS store run by Mary, who I thank whole heatedly for sending me such impeccable stamps and die cuts....thank you!!
EVEN MORE GREAT NEWS!!!
This week’s sale will be 20% off both the Thanksgiving and the Autumn Categories!! .
This special is good through 12 November 2014.
Need even more inspiration?
Then please visit the extremely fabulous Design Team and see what they're thankful for too!
