Hope You Can Cling To...

Hello! Second post for the day, but this one is a very special card for the SCS challenges going on right now.  Many of you know Jennifer Scull and she is guest hosting for Hope You Can Cling To and her theme for one of the challenges is Peaceful Pink.  Now if you read Jennifer's post you'll find that she finds comfort in nature.  Please check out her beautiful cards here and she's also got some yummy candy too!  Here is the card I designed for the Peaceful Pink challenge HYCCT1215A at SCS. I find comfort in anything crocheted. I especially love the wonderful gifts handmade to me by grandmother.  So included on this card is a heart that I crocheted representing the love and peace I feel when I receive her beautiful handywork.  I hope the design and colors are calming and peaceful.
There's so much more to read about this wonderful challenge and an address to send all your gorgeous makes to.
Thank you for stopping in,
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

Your post was very touching also and I love the quote by Audrey Hepburn and the photo too. You are an amazing person and I'm so happy we are blog buddies and friends.

Hello Q
It is of no surprise to me that you have produced such a feminine card for such a special Challenge.
I have always believed that you have the understanding and empathy of another's feelings and relate these thoughts not only through your cuneiform, but also through your cards, I have had the privilege of receiving such compassion. I know you profess to be a tomboy but, you have many layers to your personality; such as being a true Artisan, a comedian, a creator, a Mum, a wife, a multi-tasker. So to add insight to the list and then respond with warmth and project this feeling onto a card; which I may add is not of your usual genre makes you a special person, many of us would like to have just 10% of what comes naturally to you, albeit most will just be sympathizing, but we ladies who create are usually on the same wavelength and comprehend very well, just in different degrees.
Now that I have said all of this, I should comment that your card will be intensely admired and treasured to whoever receives it, as it has all the qualities of tranquillity and peace of mind.
I love the shabby effect too.
Smiles:)

Not wanting to risk repeating everything wonderful that has already been said, I will just add how fabulous I think it is that not only do you treasure your grandmother's talent, but you also shared a bit of that talent yourself. That in itself is a tribute to her. Absolutely gorgeous card and perfect for the theme! Well done, dear friend!
