The Thing About Fans Is....

 Hello there again!!
I have an odd one to share today. Well, for me that might be the norm, but I hope this one is actually useful for you or at least gets some ideas rolling for Christmas gifts or potential crafty sales.
I found these fan blades at a local thrift shop last year for $2 bucks and they sat and sat as I pondered what the heck to do with them.

So far the cost has been $15 total and I still have 2 blades to go.
I'd love your constructive opinions about these and any ideas to give me for the last 2 I've still got to complete.

Thanks SOOOO much for your visit and I hope you've enjoyed your time here.
Hugs n' Happy Crafting to you!
Lisa x

Wicked cool idea!!! I'm in pantry envy looking at the pics of your "almost" kitchen. :) What if you made a Halloween or Fall/Thanksgiving version of your wreaths using one of your last 2 fan blades?

You have to be chomping at the bit to get into that pretty house and your new craft room. Just think Lisa - all clean and organized!! it is obvious that you are not going to listen to me about writing your own craft book, what about a TV show? You have brilliant ideas and your makes are quite thrifty. Look out Martha Stewart, Lisa is in town! Your decorated fan blades are beautiful and I honestly believe the shape looks better on front doors than circle wreaths do.
Thanks for the pictures!!

Hello Q
HOW POSITIVELY YOU!!!
I do not think that these fan blades are quirky though, on the contrary I think they are unique and innovative and a perfect decoration for Christmas, I suggest you carry on with the others in the same theme, some bells and a reindeer would look great, love the big bows, it gives the project such flair which oozes in all your creations.
Wonderful work Q.
And your House looks fabulous, I can imagine how you are growing impatient to move in..... I am hoping that your senate backs down soon and allows your country to function productively again, for every ones sake.
Smiles:)

I thought you were moving next to me so we can craft together! lol Love your house, it is similar to our plan we have. Nice kitchen too, please show us more as it progresses!!
Your wreaths are fabulous, only you would think of a fan blade for a holiday wreath, wow, I just threw my old fan out, kicking myself now! I do love this idea, really stabilizes the embellishments on it and you can paint them to match. I love the old man in Wreath 2 so cute.
Have a great day

Well who'd a thunk, no one but you L2. These are amazing and I love what you created with salvaged fan blades. I will never look at them again the same way. lol Maybe you could save the other two for upcoming holidays or give as gifts. They are way cool, just like you.
Thanks for sharing the pictures of your gorgeous new home. I can't wait for you to have a crafty room all of your own and I love that kitchen. :) Congrats!

The house looks amazing Lisa! I am so happy for you and can only imagine how each room will be a unique reflection of you - a wonderful place to just look around. How the heck you got these decorations out of fan blades I will never know but you made them work - the gesso makes these look like distressed wood and the big fat bows and pine foliage make each one gorgeous!

Yep, always knew it - you are brilliant! What gorgeous Christmas decor from $2.00 blades!! Enjoyed your new house pics...

Twang you have outdone yourself here. There's no way I would have looked at those blades and come up with this idea. I love your wreaths. They'll be a fabulous addition to your Christmas decos this year. Maybe you could make the other two for some other holiday although I doubt there's a door in your new house that wouldn't want one of these hanging on it at Christmas. Hugs!

So exciting to be planning your new crafty space in that fab looking house. I'm about to spend the first night in the new (well, rented) house, and then there's two days to clear the rest of the nonsense out of the family home of 40 years before handing over the keys to the new owners on Friday.

And then about 30 boxes of craft stash to unpack!! But yes, I'll have my own craft room too - at least for these six months - very excited!!

I think your fan blade wreaths are so clever, as well as looking gorgeous - what a great idea, and brilliantly executed, just as I'd expect!

Hi Lisa! Sorry I'm being late with my visit, I just came home from a holiday in Dubai and I had so little time to blog and craft before I left.
I don't know anyone but you whoi have the ability to transform anything into something fantastic like this! The wreaths look truly amazing!
A new house and your own crafting room? Oh my, you're one lucky girl. So am I as my hubby has silently accepted that we don't have a separate dining room anymore - it's filled with crafting goddies and stash! Dinners know being consumed in our living room:)

And the house?! How completely awesome is that!!! LOVE the cabinets (even if those of us who are concentrated awesome need a step stool to reach them!), and I can not wait to see your crafty space!
