Love Those Kewpies.....

Hello again to you and welcome back!!
Anyone else collect Kewpie dolls? I don't, but my mother does and I think they're absolutely adorable!
So as soon as I received this sheet of precious Kewpies in action I had to print, color and play.
If you're tempted; which I know you are, please take a gander here at Kewpies and Kids DSL and while you're there, be sure to say hello to Ignacio and check out all the other amazing digital stamps in his store at

Living On The Edge...

Our Creative Corner is kicking out yet another inventive challenge for us this week and the idea comes from the brilliant mind of Lili, our very own crafter extraordinaire. There are a few steps to this challenge and here they are. 1) Create a card or project with a decorative EDGE. 2)  Your creation MUST be entirely WHITE. 3) Sentiment can be ANY color you want and lastly, 4) All embellishments MUST be white and if you're using rhinestones, they need to be silver.   So, here is my card of many white layers that includes, white cardstock, white stitching, white graph paper, white crimped cardboard, a white doily rosette, white pearls and a handmade crocheted banner of hearts, white button, white twine and a white shipping tag.
We have had so many wonderful entries lately and the inspiration and inventive creativity never ceases to amaze me, so come join us and try out this wonderful Decorative Edge challenge with a TWIST. We'd love to see it and while you're there, you'll no doubt leave with immense rejuvenation once you see what my clever teammates have crafted at Our Creative Corner.
Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a very wonderful week!

When Life Brings Rain...

Hello hello hello!
Gosh, just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful comments you all left on my Shabby Chic project. I really appreciated that so much.
Okay, on with the show for Make It Monday. :)

First time I've ever had the backside of an image to color and this little cutie was a bit tricky for me, but I've tried to make it look like she's heading outside. Hind sight being what it is and all, it escapes me why I didn't just put her in front of a door..duh.  Anyway, the sentiment I made on my PC and that still seems quite  fitting for A Little Girl With Umbrella from our terrific and NEW sponsor Milk N Coffee.  Our randomly chosen winner for this new linky party happening over at Make It Monday will win 3 digi's of their choice.  Hope you enjoy the card.
Now for my....
Absolutely striking combination of colors, LOOVE that Raspberry Ripple with the contrasting black and the cool white. A terrific job of layering and all the fun designs on the DP. Beautiful card Sandy and thank you so much for sharing it with us this week!

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a good week.

You're a Rockstar & I'm a Moron...

Okay, so who's the worst Aunt in the entire world?? ME!!!  I totally spaced that my nephew's birthday is tomorrow (boo!! hiss!!) I know right? Well, to make up for the royal blunder, I thought I should make Ethan a card that just says WOW!!  Or at least I hope it does.  But then again, the wow factor probably only lurks on the inside of the card once he sees the "green" gift.  Anyway, regardless, I hope he likes it and I certainly hope it makes up for his Aunt being completely forgetful!
You're a Rockstar!!
The card base is Kraft cardstock.  The background is my handmade brick wall on white cardstock, run through with the brick embossing plate.  DI's of Vintage Photo, Antique Linen and Wild Honey and hints of Poppy Parade SU ink color the bricks.  A smothering of Gesso for mortar and a glaze of UTEE over sporadic sections.
Next is the curtain. I wanted the rock star to look as though he was on a very special stage and thought a red curtain against the brick wall would be perfect.  The curtain is heavy burgundy cardstock that I've crunched up into a wad and bent until pliable.  Using my brayer, I've run Antique Linen over the top to add more depth and character to the folds.  These pieces were then hot glued to over the brick.  The lights, silhouette fans and the rockstar billboard are all free images I've downloaded via the Internet to bring the scene together.
The image is another fantastic drawing from Alessandro Piedimonte, whom I referred to in an earlier post and I hope my copic coloring has done him justice.   His images are by request only.

Sure hope you've enjoyed your visit and I thank you so much for your time and comments.

Some Days Do & Thank You

Hello!
Just a couple cards for a few wonderful challenges.
This card I desgined for Moxie Fab's
The challenge is to use, you guessed it...Gingham.
I stuck with a very CAS retro look and wonderful images from The Graphic's Fairy.
Several people I know have been going through some really tough times lately and this is my odd way of saying,
"I'm thinking of you and I  hope tomorrow is better!"

This card is for another wonderful challenge happening at Sugar Creek Hollow with the theme of Circles.
I hope you've enjoyed the eclectic variety here today.

Thank you so much for stopping in....
Hugs!
