Snow Much Fun...

You're just in time to sing along...

"Firetrucks ring, are you listening?
In the streets, asphalt's blistering...
A mirage is in sight,
We're perspiring tonight...
Walking in a sweltering Summer microwave."

"Gone away are the cool days,
Here to stay are the sun's rays...
We do a rain dance,
As we go along...
Walking in a sweltering Summer microwave."

"In a delirium, we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He'll say, "Have you gone completely mad, man?"
And we'll say, "That's exactly what the purple rabbits say..."

Okay, okay, so it probably won't catch on "quite" like the original Winter Wonderland, but y'all sounded REALLY good!
So what's all the fuss about with the song and the the card? Well, it's most importantly about the challenge happening over at Top Tip Tuesday which is
ONE LAYER CARDS
and secondly, it's my FIRST Christmas card for the holiday! (I know, right?!  Go ahead, I'll wait while you throw confetti.)
Anywho...here it is...
Holy bucket of snowflakes, this was a challenge to make!  It's been forever since I've made a one layer card and of course it looked so 'naked' to me at first.  Actually, this is the second attempt and I found that I loved the challenge.  By adding a scored border and coloring in this poor melting snowman from Robyn's Fetish called Melting Over You, with sparkles, glitter, gesso and Glossy Accents with a couple snowflake clusters and a sentiment, I was very pleased!

Well, I'll send you on your way now, with that lovely tune in your head, a skip in your step and a one layer challenge in your heart that you know you want to try.  Please stop by and see what my other teamies were able to come up with for this challenge as well....you'll be greatly astonished!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a bit and as always, I am so happy for your visit.
Hugs n' Happy Stamping...
Lisa xx

Early mornin' to ya L2,
HaHaHa, love that song and thank you. It's 3:03 AM and I have it stuck in my head lol. Oh my, I do love your wit! This is a fab card and I hear ya on the naked part. You definitely pulled it off though and in grand style. Your little snowman is adorable even if he is in a liquid state. :D Great tip about the scored border too.

Hello Q
Well what an unusual sight to see a one layer card from you, and you actually enjoyed the process, then you have surprised me, and the little ditty also surprised me, you have hidden talents.... does it ever stop????
You have made a perfect CAS card Q.
I am going to enter this Challenge as I have made a one layer myself!!!
But it will not be up to your standard unfortunately, as I did not enjoy the process, and I think it may show in my end result.
Smiles:)

Lisa I always sing when I see you post. Think about it - YOU MADE ME INK .... "You made me love you, I didn't want to do; I didn't want to do --" or, are you too young to know that song. I really hope you are working on some kind of book - you are a writer. Yes you are a wonderfully creative and make great cards too. Poor snowman, he did not even have a chance. Love it and I am gonna get this image!!!

LOL Maybe you should try your hand at jingle writing. :-) Not bad. hee hee I applaud your card for several reasons. One layer, white, and your one up on me for Christmas cards this year. LOL All that glittery fun on puddle man makes for a fun card Lisa. Great job! Hugs!

Love love love how you've done the snowman! He must have come from Missouri. For not doing much CAS, you've made it look like it's your speciality.

Is there anything you can't do???? This is the most fantastic one layer card and you still leave your unique style and humor for all to see! Poor Frosty should have known better than to visit in August...
Loving your version of the classic song and now I'm sure to have visions of purple rabbits dancing in my head!
