Extremely Odd Christmas Card....

BUT,
if you know me,
what else would you expect?
As a matter of fact, I've recently been nicknamed "Quirky"
and I am SO very honored.
So, thank you, Onion. :)

I think I'm definitely ready to move on from making Christmas cards, but as soon as I saw this free image from
Karen's Doodles called Sitting Turkey,
my brain went and did its usual thing.

My (almost last I hope) Christmas Card???

Karen's Doodles is having a recipe challenge that requires 3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image.

I've chosen 2 papers from Stampin' Up!
Embellishments are the sign, the neck tie and the flowery ensemble at the bottom and this adorable image colored in Copics, from Karen's Doodles.

 My twisted humor
Typed on my PC
I decided to name the turkey Jake because it rhymed with plate and the irony of this little guy is that he knows he's the long awaited gift at the dinner table!

I also layered Jake's head and feet with foam dots.

The end!

DOH! One more thing...
Another funny that my husband sent me...LOL
He knows me so well...hahaha!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and thanks so much for stopping in!

Hugs and Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

You may be Quirky sweet friend, but you are my sense of humour, my brain works very similar, if it fits use it or wear it..and I just love Jake..fabulous colouring, love the 3D and his necktie, and the sentiment is perfect.
I've been busy colouring this morning[Saturday]your beautiful snowman and little girl 'doodle'that you gave as a freebie..Just have to wait for glue to dry, build the card and will post it on Tuesday.

Your posts always make me laugh. This is too damn funny not to mention it's colored up beautifully! Next turkey card you should have it say "Eat more Ham". Great job as always

I am just about done re the Christmas cards too Quirks, who named the Turkey???????????
Your copic work is incredible, you have all the shading down perfect, but it is Jakes eyes that make him so cute, he is all dressed up with his little bow and holding his sentiment, does he not realise that he is going to be eaten????
You did not mention you were a wine-o!
Smiles:) Onion.

Fantastic card. Your colouring is superb. Before I read your write up I thought that the image had been printed off ready coloured from a cd. Love the "funny" - sounds like something my boys would say.

Wow this is brilliant. Love it. Love those cute quirky sentiments you make to go with;) And it's coloured beautifully. Regarding my card the embossed white are like my patterned paper and it opens like a regular card. Sorry about that angle though, was the only angle that looked fairly good but it's not optional. Hugs Bettina

Quirky works, right? Yeh it does. :) As for Jake, love him. He is a cutie pie and I love the colors you used on him. He's so rich and yummy looking. :-0
Got Wine? I recommend Asti Spumante Martini & Rossi (or Tosti) for holiday dinners, special occasions and every day in between. ;)
Hugs,
