No Girls Allowed...

"Snips n' snails and puppy dog tails and mud and bugs and sweat."  These are a few of his favorite things, said Scratch, the adorable little boy from Saturated Canary.  This week at Dutch Dare we are challenging you to make a card for a boy!  Oh good golly, boy/masculine cards are just not something I do too often, but I stuck with it and created this little outdoor scene that I think is just perfect for Scratch. He is now in his element with animals, dirt, trees to climb and a no girls allowed tepee!

The hardest part was finding the perfect backdrop for him. Trust me, I searched and searched and finally decided to create my own.  Below is the image I drew and then chalked. Once it was finished I placed a layer of clear embossing powder to avoid smudging.
Like I said, this was a challenge for me and I had the best time creating this card. So I know that if I can do it, you can definitely do it.  So come on over and join us at Dutch Dare for our For A Boy challenge and take a look at the other fantastic creations by my teamies.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and say hi.  Your visits and comments are beyond appreciated.  Have a great one!
Hugs,
Lisa xx

Well Q, you may believe in your heart that if you can do it anyone can! But trust me this is a fallacy, and you are in la-la land, as this drawing you have construed to complete the theme of your card is just amazing, and I for one know damn well that I would not even know where to begin with a drawing, but you are very generous in thinking that we are all capable. But it is just not the Bg that is impressive, you have added wonderful elements; like your cutie worm; if a worm could ever be cute! And the trees and all your other animals you have lurking around, what a wonderful card for a young lad.
Great work.
Smiles:)

Just as cute as can be and any kid would love to receive your card. I think the background you created is a heck of a lot better than a found or bought one --- no girls allowed - HA - that will change. Have a wonderful day Lisa!

Darn and double darn I had to come back and say a little more. I see that snake in the right hand corner. And then the no girls allowed - hmmmm is our little brave afraid he might eat from the tree of knowledge? Is he afraid of just one little bite?
Your secret pal
