DIY Halloween Decor

Are you like me and have more post in Pinterest than time?
Well, I made a promise to myself that I would make or try at least 4 of my pins each week and test them for a pass or fail grade.
SO.....here goes.
Autumn is here and as we approach closer to Halloween, our decorations will become more macabre, but for now...let's go with Fall Cutesy.
Here is the Cheesecloth Ghost
My final judgement....
It passes! This was SO much fun to make.  SO easy and SO cheap.
The possibilities are endless with this.
Here he is keeping company with the rest of the decorations.

My final thoughts...
I love them all!!
Happy Fall Ya'll and Happy Crafting!!
Hugs to you,

Pumpkin Fun @ The Cutting Cafe

Howdy, howdy, howdy!
Heaven help me and pinch my cheeks...I'm as happy as a bug in a rug!
I absolutely abhor hot weather.   Nothing like spending time doing your hair and makeup only to have it frizz out and the makeup slide off and gather in a pool between your boobs.
 Did I mention H.A.T.E it?
Today's temperature is going to be high 60's to low 70's and tomorrow.... hold me back... 50's!!!
Mums, Red Maple leaves, scarecrows and pumpkins are popping out all over the neighborhood; which is why I was so happy to make this project for The Cutting Cafe.

For this edition, the exquisite DT and our fearless leader Regina are going to be showcasing
PUMPKIN FUN!
Today I am featuring the following sets:

Would you like to win 3 free sets of your choice?
Check back on the 7th of October @ The Cutting Cafe Blog and simply leave a comment on Regina's post.  One person will be randomly selected to win. Winner will be announced on the 21st.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!!
Big hugs to you all and happy crafting,
Lisa xx

Autumn Stationary Caddy

Hello wonderful people!

It's been a few weeks that I've been away from the computer, but now that the temperatures are cooling off and kids are back into their school routines, I'm finding the time to sit back and enjoy crafting some amazing seasonal projects! This Stationary Caddy comes from the ever talented Regina at The Cutting Cafe and I thought it would be fun to stuff mine full of Fall elements, such as pumpkins, apples, leaves and thank you cards.  This caddy is so versatile you can adjust it however to fit your needs perfectly!

I'm keeping it sweet and simple today as I want to get around to visiting you all and seeing what I've missed!
Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Wear Cute Boots...

Welcome back to another Cutting Cafe showcase of Regina's beautiful files.
Today I'm showing her precious Rain Boots Shaped Card Template and the Fun With Snowflakes file I've used for the boot pattern.
How fun is this??
It's been so dark and dreary here lately that I wanted something lighthearted and playful to hang on my wall that inspired me.  So here it is... my tip for dealing with the drab weather...wear cute boots!!
Found this wonderful sentiment on Pinterest and thought it fit perfectly.

Go have a looksie for yourself...
you're gonna be glad you did! :)

Hugs n' Happy Crafting,

Autumn's Last Leaf

Welcome back friendly crafters! It's officially the first of November and kicking off another month at Heck Of a Challenge we have the theme 50 Shades of Autumn.  I encourage you drop in and see the most creative makes from my teammates...they've really done an incredible job again of capturing one of the most gorgeous seasons in the year!
As for me, welllllll, the jury is still out on this one.  I enlisted the help of my grandmother on this one.  It went something like this...Pick up the phone, dial her number, she answers and I yell..."HELLLLLLLP!" So being the sweetheart she is, she popped on Skype and helped me out with shading, fading, leaf placement and coming to terms with the negative VOID space.  She and my mother are the painters in the family, me...not so much. BUT, I did try my hand at it and the experience was, well...it was an experience.  So THANK YOU Grandma for all your advice and constructive tutoring.  I may not be thrilled with the outcome, but the experience and time spent with you was wonderful!
Anyhow, here is my offering for the 50 Shades of Autumn. I've tried to capture Autumn's Last Leaf.  As gorgeous as a multicolored tree looks in the fall, I'm equally as captivated by one last leaf hanging to a limb as well.
If you choose to leave a comment, you don't have to "fluff" it. I'll GLADLY take constructive criticism and tips. Eventually I would like to be able to master the look and feel of real bark, so any help is welcome.
I thank you for your visit and your time.
Hugs,
Lisa xx
