How It All Began...

'Twas late the night o' Christmas Eve whilst other boys were goofing, but not the three you see before, for they had destiny.  Bundled in their downy coats the trio set out to singing.
Some would laud, some would clap, some would ask for autographs, so nary once did they give up, to be the best around.  Lads they were, barely a hair grew from their cheeks, but wow the crowds, they did indeed with their tenor, baritone and occasional squeak of puberty.
Far and wide in their little town, they were crowned of sorts, a celebrity.  They'd pack the streets, the tents, the pubs, even once ol' Ms. Murphy's bakery.
Legends they are and always will be...from those they left behind. So if you're ever in Carlingford, sit a spell and take a pint and smile as you hear the tale of  three best friends that sang from their hearts, affectionately known as We Three Kings.
We Three Kings
Each time I see one of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps images, I can't immediately put them on anything. I have to color them up and study them for days. There is such a story to each of these characters and when I saw this stamp, I knew there needed to be more to the story.
The 3 young men grew up and went off to college to pursue their singing careers. They met a few other men along the way and well.....maybe you've heard of them?
Here they are now, all grown up and shaving and they've changed their name just a little.
Enjoy....

Thank you so much for the visit and I hope you've enjoyed this little story...
This will be my last post with Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, but as you can see I always have the BEST time with the Dr.'s images. Don't miss out on the fun, run on over and tell him hi and check out the hilariously wonderful selection of digital stamps!

Happy Retirement Table Centerpiece..

Retirement can be a joyous occasion and as soon as I saw this incredibly relaxing image, Feet Up and a Cuppa, from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, I knew I had to place him in the perfect relaxing environment...his cozy cottage in his cozy chair.  So, here's the little house that Lisa built.
You'll notice there is no furniture inside the house, except for the relaxing gent, but I decided instead of furniture to make this a fun little retirement fund centerpiece for someones retirement party!
Here's what it looks like now...
So how fun is that? Not only do the Dr.'s images bring out the most hilarious and creative ideas for a card, but they are SUPER fun to create little environments for. Very versatile creations and you'll love coloring them up. So head on over to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and start having fun now!!

Thanks so much for your visit and I hope you've enjoyed this project.
Hugs n' Happy Building...

Flirtin' With Furniture...

Oh snap! I did it again. As serious as I may try to be, there's just something so fun about these terrific images at Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, you can't contain the comical outbursts.   Here is a very clean and simple card using the wonderful Armchair image from the Bits n' Bobs section at the Dr.'s Store and a little flirty love note written on my PC.
I think it makes a for a fun masculine card for Valentine's Day. What say ye?
Thanks so much for your visit and ya'll have a great one!

Enforcer Ted the Valentine Bear???

It's happening all around the world.  Valentine shops are reporting assaults one right after the other.  Billions of dollars are spent each year on Dung Beetle research, yet these poor overlooked, disgruntled and mutilated  stuffed animals are not being helped, they are finally fighting back.  It began harmlessly as small unattended children would grab a stuffed animal off the shelf and play with it while the parents shopped. Time and time again, being picked off the shelf, played with, and then returned; resulting in broken threads, dangling eyes, and stuffing oozing out.  Holiday after holiday passes and these poor misshapen, semi-fluffy, worn out animals are being rejected and neglected as Valentine gifts.
Sources close to me say that a revolution is brewing. Apparently it all started at a nearby Hallmark where an irate and  envious bear, who goes by the name, Enforcer Ted, has started a movement called, TR2AB, The Right 2 Arm Bears.  Government officials are closing in on the gun cartel that is providing these weapons, but until then, we can all do our part.
Thanks to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and this very depicting representation, we can all share in the responsibility of being upstanding citizens and not only help the innocent victims who are being threatened to purchase said bears, but by being aware and sensitive to the needs of these poor unfortunate toys.
When you're out shopping for your loved one for Valentine's Day, don't just grab the chocolate and flowers, but find it in your heart to give these sad and disheveled critters a nice and loving home.  It's much more satisfying than a whelp on the forehead from a .45.

Hugs n' Happy Stamping and be safe out there!
(no humans or stuffed animals were harmed in the making of this post)

He REALLY exists.....

Now don't go fainting on me ya'll....but you might want to sit down for this one!
Dr. Digi's House of Stamps has created the, I'm getting light headed just getting ready to type it, the PERFECT man!!  Forget you Fabio with your bulging biceps and long wavy mane of immaculate hair and a six pack that won't quit, you ain't got nothing compared to Derek here.  I wasn't sure I'd live long enough to see the day, but here he is in all his glory.  The 'honey do' checklist completed and a bucket o' chocolate at the ready! There won't be any sleeping on the couch for this studly hubby tonight.
Wouldn't this be the perfect card for a man to give to his special squeeze?
Hope you've enjoyed meeting Dunderton Decorators Ltd from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.
Thank you so much for your very appreciated visit.
Hugs n' Happy Creating,

It All Started With Tax Evasion...

Everybody loves a good romance and this darling couple, Morris and Mildred take the cake!
30 year old Mildred was swept off her feet by 92 year old Morris and their friendship bloomed into love after their first "smooch." So I thought it fitting to place them center stage on a SMOOCH shaped card from The Cutting Cafe.  The lips come with the set too!
Now, back to the story...

You see Mildred was engaged to to Morris' younger brother Stanley and one week before their enchanted wedding, Stanley was arrested for tax evasion and went to jail, directly to jail and couldn't even pass go.
The townsfolk were mortified as Stanley was always such a fine upstanding citizen and he had just recently purchased a monopoly of  abandoned shops on Boardwalk with the intention to remodel and bring in a strip mall.  No one was more horrified than poor Mildred.
But time passed and her friendship with Stanley's older brother, much older, flourished into a romance of trust, love and diligently filing taxes every year.
The two were wed on Stanley's release date from jail and spent the next 2 weeks in Fiji for their honeymoon.
Stanley on the other hand, accessed his Swiss bank account and bought a small island and was never seen or heard from again....
Thank you AGAIN, goes out to Dr. Digi's House Of Stamps for creating the most creative and humorous digital images that really leave the possibilities endless....
Stop on by his store and see the latest releases and grab this little cute couple Morris and Mildred for yourselves.
Hugs n' Happy Filing Your Tax Returns,

Love Potion #9

After years of suggesting that they needed to spice up their love life, Nina finally gives in.  She tells her man to go wait in the bedroom and play the role of the poor sick patient and the nurse will be right in to make it all better.  Judging by the look on her face and the size of that needle, Mr. Man Flu is probably wishing he'd just kept his mouth shut.
Turn and cough sweetie and when you're done, this will only hurt A LOT!
I know, I know, it's not the "traditional" Valentine's Day card, BUT, when you combine the amazing digital stamp Man Flu with Night Nurse Nina, it just makes sense that it should be a silly celebration of love.
Thank you goes out to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for creating the most wonderful interactive images that allow for tons of fun and a little quirkiness.
Stop on by his store and see for yourself!
Hugs n' Happy Stamping....

Enjoy Your Day (For a Female)

Ohhh she's living the life!
Meet the lovely Deirdery on her day off....and boy is she living it up.
Tall glass of Long Island Iced Tea and her ittsy bitsy polka dot not a bikini, beside the lovely umbrella that's keeping the sun from frizzing her newly done hairdo.   Pedro, the handsome young pool boy has just stepped away to make her some lunch.
I designed this card to be fitting for so many different occasions like, birthday, retirement, yeah-you won the lottery, etc.  Thank you to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for producing this gorgeous pool side diva!
So happy you popped in!
Deirdery nodded off for a little nap while she waits for her luxurious lunch, but I'll be sure to tell her you stopped in. :)

Enjoy Your Day (For a Male)

but he'll be taking a little ice cream break real quick while he recovers from inflating all his floaties!
Then he'll need to wait for several hours to digest, just so there's no cramping up in the water.
Eventually dear Mr. Aquatic will be in the water!
Stop on by Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and see what's new in the shop and then be sure to come back, because I'm certain Ambrose will be performing amazing acts of greatness in his kiddie pool.

You Turn Me On...

I'm sort of moving a bit fast forward on the holidays here, but thought a change of pace from making Christmas cards would be nice, so we're visiting another favorite holiday of mine, Valentine's Day.  For those of us who enjoy making cards for our main squeezes, but find it difficult to make it 'masculine', I'm hoping this offers you some worthy inspiration.  It's a bit grungy with a hint of flirty fun.
This card would not have been possible were it not for the cool little section over at Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, titled Bits n' Bobs.  Dr. Digi himself has offered up a collection of singular 'prop' images to use however your creativity sees fit.  The image I selected is none other than the Lamp, which I have paper pieced the lampshades.
The card didn't start out this way. It was by mere frustration with the original design that I tore off the first attempt and what was left remaining was this tattered musical sheet and it was PERFECT!  See the wording that remained in tact? Golden light...lamp?...awesome!
No card is ever complete without a little gift of love and appreciation, so I mimicked the card by decorating the box likewise.
Again, tearing the sheet music, bottom right you'll notice the words, "home in my heart." I know right? Go ahead, you can say it... "Awwwww."
And to replicate the flirty fun, I found this vintage light bulb ad and added a sentiment from another add.
Hope you've enjoyed seeing this card and it's given you some ideas for making a Valentine card for your "Shmooky Pooky Woo-Woo Teddy Bear".. or whatever you call them. LOL!
Stop on by and say hi and check out the Bits n' Bobs and whatnot's, you won't be disappointed!

Hugs n' Happy Stamping,

Home For The Holidays

From their house to yours..
Happy Holidays to you all!

Thanks to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, here is the wonderful pre-colored image Derek & Deirdery Dunderton outside their lovely festive home.
It appears to me that Deirdery has just informed Derek that he's forgotten to pick up the yams and if he doesn't go get them pronto it's Spam in a can for his holiday dinner! Mmm, mmm, yummy...(cough, gag, yack!)
Thank you so much for your visit and I hope the holidays are joyously memorable for you all and for Pete's sake...don't forget the YAMS!
Hugs,

Pucker Up,Sugar!!

Nothing says Merry Christmas like leather and lace!
So here is the ever voluptuous Deirdery in her 1980's Kiss concert boots holding up a little sumpin' sumpin' for her hubby Derek!  Yes, it's true, we're all Dreaming of a White Wide Christmas with a little mistletoe to pucker up under.  ;)
I'll type really, really, fast so you can head on over to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and snag up this comical Christmas image.
Hope you've enjoyed my Christmas wreath card...
Hugs n' Happy Smooching!

Dare To Dream...

The crowd has gathered for the show of the year and on stage is our One and Only Tragic Magic Magician!  Dr. Digi must believe that he'll get it right one of these days, but I'm not so sure the rabbit and dove have that much faith yet.
The motto of this card:
Never doubt your dreams, you can do it if you try!
Hope you've enjoyed this handmade stage with denim jeans dyed red in Adirondack Inks, a little stage and some magic show goer silhouettes.
Have a fantastic day!

Bad Boy Bill Blushes...

After listening to his wife nag for 9 years about investing in a TALLER privacy fence, Bill finally decides today is the day.
Greetings from the backyard of BBQ Bill, aka Bad Boy Bill, who simply wants to grill, but has turned it into a total blunder and the neighbors are having a hay day with it!

Thank you to Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for creating this comical masculine card.  I took a few liberties with the image and added the I (heart) Mom tattoo, the bandanna on his head and the large flame shooting from his Char-Master 2000.
Thank you so much for stopping in and I hope you've enjoyed your visit.
Bill was supposed to have a little snack for you while you visit, but....
I've ordered pizza so please help yourself to some on the way out.
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

I sense "fowl" play here...

I'm happy to report that no animals were harmed in the making of this card, but I'm not too certain of  Jasper's outcome.  Looks to me like Mr. Torqued Turkey is pondering if he would be tasty with some fava beans and a nice Chianti??
(Whoever guesses that movie reference wins a NEW CAR!)
I'm kidding, no new car, but I promise not to send this blunderbuss swinging fowl to your house. :)
Hope you've enjoyed my offering of a Thanksgiving card and if you'd like to get your hands on this comical scene, you can find it here at Dr. Digi's House of Stamps called Howdy Pilgrim.
Thanks so much for your visit,
hugs n' happy stamping...

Lonely This Christmas?

I've officially made a total of three, yes count them, 1-2-3, Christmas cards so far this year. I mean to tell you, I'm on the ball!!  Ummm, speaking of that...here is the latest (blushes).
We're opening up another linky party over at Make It Monday and this is the card I'm subjecting everyone to over there..LOL! Oh those poor innocent bystanders.   This hysterical image is from our newest sponsor Dr. Digi's House of Stamps (check them out on Facebook too) and taking center stage is the one and only Lonely This Christmas.  I couldn't find an adequate sentiment fitting enough for this scene so I've typed up my own on the PC.
We'd love for you to join us over at Make It Monday and while you're there, please check out the other outrageously comical cards from my teammates.
Now for my....
I found this card very striking. It has a CAS feel to it, but there's really quite a challenge behind it all.  Skye completed this card using a square punch and I love the outcome. What a sensational Christmas card with a beautifully decorated tree!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Make It Monday Skye :)

Thank you so much for stopping in and all your terrific comments :)
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

Macabre Theatre Presents...

Welcome one and all to the grand Macabre Theatre of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps! featuring our lead character Uriah the Undertaker.
Please take your seats, turn off your phones and grab your popcorn and drinks as we begin the show...
The star of the show, Uriah himself.
Please hold on to your backstage passes as Uriah will be signing autographs directly after the performance!
Want memorabilia for keepsakes?
He will gladly allow for photographs to be taken with him!
A little background on the theatre stage. It used to be used for kiddy performances, as you can see above, but a much more sinister and disturbing environment was needed. Thanks to the stage hand, Lisa, the scene was set for Uriah's debut.
Bloodied and scratched dingy walls were constructed with brick embossed paper, Tim Holt's Distress Inks, spritzed drops of Adirondack inks.  Razor scratchings on the wall and a clear glaze to reflect shadows from the swinging light.
No dysfunctional mortuary is complete without a bloodied table, rags and bones.
And well...this too!
Curtains complete the stage ambiance; however, due to budget constraints, fabric was not an option.  The crafty prop crew crumpled up black paper, bathed it in white steaks of ink and decorated up with a lovely disheveled faux swag curtain.
The Macabre Theatre of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps warmly thank you for attending today's performance and welcome you back again for future shows.
Stay tuned for up and coming showtimes', tickets and special backstage passes.  Don't forget to reserve your tickets ahead of time as seats are selling out quickly!

Hugs and Happy Creating...
Lisa xx
Also, thank you, thank you, thank you for the super awesomical comments and all the laughs and smiles you give me. A very warm welcome to my newest followers. You are ALL so wonderfully appreciated. :)
OH..and for those of you that partake in the holiday...
Happy Halloween!
