Save Yourselves!

Hi there!
I'm so glad you popped in.  I've got another card today for the challenge going on over at
Make It Monday for our 75th linky party!  It's truly incredible how every single entry brings something new to the crafting table.  I learn so much each week and can't wait to see what I can add to my "OHHH, yes, I must add that to my to do list" list, this time!

I wish I could make a "serious" card.  I really do.  I have managed to produce a few, but I don't know what it is with me, I can't seem to stay on track and before you know it, I've got something oddly bizarre and "quirky" staring back at me.
Well, for those of you who enjoy a bit of "oddness," I hope I haven't failed you.

The cover sentiment was created from the far twisted recesses of my brain and found their  way onto cardstock.  The stamped words are from this cool hand held wordy- stampy- thingy I have.  Like a time/date stamper on a check sort of doo-hickey.
Yes, I'm quite articulate today, ain't I?
The warning tape was typed out on Microsoft Word using Designer font and then printed on yellow paper.

Meet adorable JJ Housewife - Vaccum.  I had to paper piece her apron, hair scarf and vacuum.  The rest was colored with Copics.

This card inspired me for a possible future project.
You know how some people put signs over their doorbells to stop people from ringing them incase small children are sleeping?
I thought it would be a hoot to make one similar only it would say this....

Please do not ring doorbell!
Dust Bunnies are sleeping.
Thank you

I sure hope you can join us over at
Make It Monday
where there's wonderful DT inspiration as well as creative ideas from all over the world!
Besides, who can resist possibly winning 7 amazing digital images from our sponsor?

PICK OF THE WEEK
Susan  has created this clean and simple but eye catching retro card that I find completely adorable.  Love the vintage bg image she used in the background and that old vintage television, absolutely wonderful!

Now THAT'S inspiration!

Loved your visit...you all are awesome and thanks for stopping by.

You never ever fail to make me laugh!! And you don't really have to be articulate when your audience 100% understands what you're saying! One of these days you will send witty creative vibes through the internet and they'll invade my brain! I absolutely love the warning tape idea...may have to case that in the future:)!

Lisa,

There are enough 'serious' cards out there. You keep doing what you do best, I can always count on you for a giggle.

I have some dust bunnies sleeping around here I don't want disturbed. I like your bell stopper idea.

Just hang up those serious cards girl. You're quirkiness is what makes your cards so great. Lots of brain power went into making all those parts and pieces that came together to make this awesome card. And....I TOTALLY love your dust bunny sign idea. LOL Hugs!

Loved the JJ Housewife card! I grew up with June Cleaver who always wore her heels and pearls to do anything in the house. One would think that was just TV, but both of your great grandmothers did exactly that until the 1970's. Thank goodness that era is over!!!

Oh, yes this is quirky and adorable! Housework WILL suck the life out of you!!! Love your card - it's wonderfully designed and gave me quite a chuckle!

The Hatter has done it again! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card! JJ is what I imaging June Cleaver would be like without her daily happy pills, you know like in the old vitamin ads...
So much creativity in this and I love the caution tape and warning sign!
As far as the wordy-stampy-thingy, we knew exactly what you were talking about and that's all that matters! I also think you need to make that sign! Make all the neighbors wonder (as if the crayon/iron incident didn't do that already!)
