This, That, Grad and No More Snot Rag....

Hello, Hello, Hello and Happy almost Easter!
Just wanted to pop a few cards up that I've made over the last 2 days. It's a compilation of several themes, but thought some of them might be inspiring if you're in need of some more ideas.

Here is my commissioned card for a 65th Anniversary.
Another commissioned card for a 50th.
Gold Anniversary

You're Sweet
I'm not that brave at making sympathy cards because I never know if they should be bland or over the top pretty... but here's what I came up with.
Sympathy  Card
I just read the musical paper and not sure what corn and beans have to do with sending sympathy, but....

Also, while my voice was out, the Hubster and I celebrated our anniversary and he got a nice QUIET day (he says 'best gift ever' ) and this card!

Anniversary
Also, have several graduation ceremonies getting ready to take place for my friends, so I thought of this idea as the money holder for my good friend's son.

Graduation Money Holder
The base is a 3D graduation cap box and I've covered the bottom in Washi key tape. The top is a 3D hot air balloon that is attached with wire down through the lid of the hat. The graduate is holding on to the balloon and going forward.  A homemade tassel, year, and Dr. Seuss sentiment added.
When you grab the balloon and pull, it pulls the lid off the hat and the 'green' gift will be inside.
Centerpiece, keepsake and gift all in one.

Well, it's time to go take more Mucinex (I'm feeling SO MUCH better now) and I'll be back later with a fun group project announcement.
Hope you all are doing well and thank you so much for stopping by to visit me.
HUGE hugs and happy crafting,
Lisa xx

Hoppy Easter-Versary Day!!!

Hey there, hi there, ho there!
We're quickly approaching Easter and I'm still feverishly trying to come up with some cute and fun ornaments for our seasonal tree.
I've shared 2 so far, here and here, but thought I'd pop on and show you three more designs that you might find inspiring for yourselves.
Here is one I found the pattern on Pinterest that I LOVE. Makes great use of those scrap papers.

Pinterest Bunny #3

And she shares this free printable too!

Seed packet Ornaments #4

Ignacio over at Nicecrane Designs has these fabulous seed packet images that I couldn't wait to print out and place on handmade seed holder envelopes.
These are Henderson's Giant Flowering Volume I and Volume II

But flowers wouldn't be complete without butterflies so I've also included the Nicecrane Designs Butterfly Twinchies

Also, side note...got a commissioned card request the other day for a 60th Wedding Anniversary and I was so excited, honored and nervous. 60 years deserves something beautiful and over the top...or at least I thought so, plus it's the diamond anniversary so....
She'll pick it up on Thursday and I hope she'll like it.

Lastly, the 5th of the ornament designs so far...

Washi Tape Plastic Eggs with foo foo stuff #5!
The eggs are sitting on the washi tape styles that I used and then added some cheesecloth on the top and then Mod Podged them to solidify and then decorated.

That's it so far...
I'm still making a few more that I'll share soon and then an extra surprise from a blog buddy who's helping me decorate from another state...WOO HOO!
Hugs and happy crafting...

It's Your Anniversary!!

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in a bathroom, in the presence of this fairly disgruntled couple, to help rejoice in their eternal toleration love for each other. Another year of their life sentence together has arrived and we are sort of grateful and oddly privileged to be in their midst!

Welcome back to another zany encounter with characters from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.  The lovely tub diva is Bath Time Dierdery and her dashingly debonair husband Ambrose Dunderton.

If I'm totally honest, I'm not great at "mushy" stuff and so very rarely do I make sentimental cards for anniversaries and weddings; however, depending on the couple, this is more my take on celebrating the wonderful institution of marriage.  After all, love and a good laugh are always a perfect combination.

Hope you enjoyed the card and thank you so much for your visit!
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,

Dinner And A Show...

What a blast it was making this card!  I hope you'll tap into your creative mojo and find time to join us over at The Squirrel & The Fox for a very special challenge.
Here is why...
"April 25th, this Wednesday, marks a very special day in Australia, ANZAC Day. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and the soldiers are known as ANZACs. It is a day of national remembrance, a chance to commemorate their soldiers that died in military operations.
Many people remember our ANZACs on this special day by baking ANZAC biscuits. These biscuits were baked by the wives and mothers of the soldiers in World War I, and sent in food parcels to those fighting in the trenches. Made with oats, golden syrup and coconut, they are still an Aussie favourite today." ~ The Squirrel & The Fox Blog

Which is why our two week challenge is all about
FOOD!
With our ever wonderful, Zoe from
Make It Crafty
who is generously sponsoring us and offering a fantastic prize for our winner!
When I saw this table and chairs set from Make It Crafty, titled Paris Elements Digi Collection I knew I wanted to use it for this food theme.  Although you don't actually see food on the table, my hope was that with the sentiment and the cups, Victorian vase and romantic setting, dinner would be implied.
I've set the entire card to be white on white and only colored the seating arrangement with copics.  I had hoped that using this adorable couple in the background, it would appear as though he's taken his lady to a very quaint setting for two.  The table setting, vase, cups and couple are all free digital images from The Graphic's Fairy.  The sentiment was generated on my PC using Jellyka Delicious Cake font.

Now for the show part...
I have to take a moment and share a proud moment about my eldest. He recently debuted his talent at the high school Mr. Panther Talent Show and won
Best Talent and Mr. Congeniality.
If you'd like to watch the performance below, we'd be honored.
My son, Brendan, is the tall magician.  This is a skit he wrote himself titled, "Abra-cadavre."
Enjoy!

The YouTube link is here.
I hope you've been inspired by this card and it has spiked your interest to join us for this incredibly fun challenge of food.
Thank you SO much for stopping in today and I hope this finds you all well.
Hugs and Happy Stamping...

Blissful Moments...

 Hello there!
I'd like to introduce you to Molly and Sam; Love 4.
This cute little guy giving his little lady a piggyback ride, is a wonderful image from our Sponsor Stamp Fairy, and they are helping us out at Top Tip Tuesday for our challenge theme of
Spotty Dotty
For this challenge I paper pieced Sam's overalls and Molly's shirt and copic colored the rest.  I've added little white dots for accent on the clothes and then dotted a background around the couple and a spotty dotted button in the center of the bow.
The hues of the clothing leaned more towards earthy textures so the background is brick embossed foil with a layer of corregated cardboard and then a layer of burlap.  All of these items were purchased at Linda's wonderful Zibbet store, Linda's Funkie Junkie Boutique.
I tried to leave the sentiments fairly vague so that this card would be versatile for many occasions.
Sure hope you can drop in over at Top Tip Tuesday and check out the wonderful tutorial from our very own lovely, talented and funny Annette! She's done an incredible job showing how to make A Box In a Bag Tutorial!
Thank you to our ever generous Sponsors also for providing not only images for the DT to use but also for providing the prizes to our lucky winners!
Big Hugs and think spots and dots....
Happy Stamping...

That which doesn't kill you....

 Makes a GREAT t-shirt!
I designed this shirt online today....here's why...

(My Christmas gift to you all...
The gift of laughter, even at my own expense.)

My wonderful kids brought home some lovely germs last week from school and in their generosity and selflessness, decided to share their bounty with me.
As much as I love when they share with me, this could have been overlooked and I would have been perfectly fine without it!
Nevertheless, these crappy germs have found solace in my body and I'm not quite sure when they plan to depart.
Seems this gift has soooo many wonderful side effects to it and cannot be experienced all at once, oh no....!
Apparently, it's like an advent germ,
something new each and every day.

I'm stubborn and I try NOT to take medication, but this gift, that keeps on giving was really starting to get the best of me so I caved and decided to liquor myself up on NyQuil.

I haven't had a good nights sleep in several days and was beyond thrilled at the idea of 6 possibly 8 hours of solid uninterrupted sleep.
The coughing fits at night were just about to take their toll.

So here I am, flannel pink penguin pajamas, fuzzy aloe purple socks, long cotton t-shirt, chest bathed in Vick's menthol cream, cough drop in mouth, all cuddled in to bed.
I set the sleep timer for 30 minutes on the TV, flip through some channels.  Find the travel channel and cozy into my pillow for a deep amazing sleep.
The coughing starts...
Getting annoyed, I grab the remote to our bed,  yes, we spoiled ourselves with one of those massaging, elevating head and feet thingies; which I might add, DO come in handy when you're coughing and need to prop up a bit.
No biggie, grab the remote, press the + button on the head, "mmmmmmmmm" elevation up, perfect! So, sooooo comfy.  Coughing ceases and the waves of over medicating start taking affect.  Sedation is kicking in, in....5,4,.....

Some time in the night, I vaguely remember hearing a familiar noise.  I'm not registering it as the phone, or the alarm clock or the sound of my kids, so....I disregard.
Sweet, wonderful sleep....you are so good to me.
Yet, that droning noise is still ever present and does not seem to be subsiding.  At this very moment I become vaguely aware of my mild discomfort.
I try with all my might to pry one eyeball open and that is when I realize,
OMG!!! I'm MOVING!!!
Damn NyQuil anyhow...
I'd fallen asleep with the bed remote and forgot to put it back on the nightstand!

At this point my forehead is rapidly preparing to introduce itself to my kneecaps and panic sets in as I "try" to roll over and hop out.  NOPE...not happening...
Stupid ergonomic technology with the foam cushion that "hugs" you while you sleep...
Hug? My pink fuzzy penguin flannel butt, hug!
My bed is trying to kill me.
Just then my hand makes contact with a remote control and I think I've found my salvation; which is a terrific thing, because my ankles are now in a place that they haven't been in in 20 years,  when I realize it's only the TV controller and I fling it across the bed and hear this...
"ting!.....thud!"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME????
I've just thrown the TV remote directly at the bed remote causing the bed remote to fly off the bed  and has just hit the floor!
This couldn't get more fantastic.
At this point, I realize that the situation has turned to kill or be killed.  I can either fight or  kiss my butt goodbye; literally, because at that moment I had a pretty good view of it!
When suddenly, the aggravating hum of the plush iron maiden torture device stopped!
OH THANK YOU, LORD!!!
I managed a few Matrix moves and something I'd seen at the circus where the people swing acrobatically in the air on thin strips of material and wa-la!
I'm here to tell the story....
Moral of the story....
(I'll leave that to you to decide!)

I even thought I should write to Sesame Street and pitch this idea for their show...
"Today's Letter ,U, is brought to you by Tempur-Pedic!"

Merry, Merry Christmas EVERYONE and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Hugs and Happy Stamping!
