It is weird for me to think about Christmas in warm weather.
I do however have one childhood memory of jumping on a trampoline, on Christmas day, in shorts during 90 degree weather while in Texas. Oddest thing ever! I've noticed so many gorgeous traditional snowy cards floating about, but it was really difficult to find summer Christmas inspiration ideas. My dad has me make his cards every year and he lives by the water, so he always requests cards that have a beachy feel to them.
Just in case some of you have the same problem with thinking of warmer weather holiday card ideas, I thought I'd share the four different styles I designed.
Ho Ho Ho
3D beach balls turned into ornaments and a Santa mustache just for fun.
Gone To The Beach
Santa's clothes on a clothesline with a more tradtional choice of holiday colors.
Surfin' Snowman in the Sand
Background is brayered with inks and clouds are acrylic painted. Sand was added by painting brown crackle in and amongst the images.
Mele Kalikimaka
Handmade palm tree with wire and lights and a little stocking as well as a Hawaiian holiday greeting and snow.
No matter where you are, in the cold or the warmth, I truly wish you a most wonderful Christmas season!
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

wow Lisa, you really put on your thinking cap for these! I love them all, but my favorite is the beach balls turned into ornaments!
Wonderful alternative Christmas cards - particularly love the Kraft Glassine on the first two - the embossed snowflakes look fabulous on it (in it?). The sky in number three is absolutely to die for, but I don't fancy that snowman's chances much if he stays wrapped up like that!!

Wow these are stunning Lisa. I love your Summer themed Christmas cards, they are so different, which reminds me that I still havent made one for my bro who lives in Australia!
These are amazing Lisa - I love all the different mediums you have used. TFS
These are fantastic Lisa, and I can relate to each and everyone as I am in the middle of Summer and melting all over the keyboard like the wicked witch of the west..Brilliant cards, love the clouds with the surfin Snowman. the little clothes on the clothes line..the mustache on the beach...well, he had to take that off as it would get all frizzy in the water..and the coconut tree standing in snow...all fantastic.

Hello Q
You have made wonderful summer Christmas cards, each have their own individuality of design, but each has the same message.... Have fun at Christmas.
Smiles:)
O
lol the first thing i saw was the mustache!!! and then I thought 'perfectly lisa :)' hehe. Love them all!! You are always so creative...you know I especially love the snowman one - the background is INCREDIBLE!
Very creative ideas and very well executed!
Your palm tree is drop dead gorgeous...Fantastic Lisa!!
THESE ARE AMAZING! I love the acrylic paint clouds and the Palm tree!!
I am reminded, however, of how much I did not love Christmas in warm weather growing up. It was always a crapshoot as to whether we'd be in shorts, or all the clothes we owned!
Living nother of the Mason/Dixon line for 20+ years, however, I have YET to have snow on either Christmas or Xmas eve. Bum luck!
Not one, mind you, but FOUR incredible cards. Where on earth do you find the time??? I need to bottle some of your energy lol. Each one is a delight and I love them all for different reasons. You truly are a talented crafter and Christmas brings out your best L2. :) Can't wait for the grand finale tomorrow of VOSP!!!
Hugs,

We went to CA once for Christmas and it WAS strange, not use to warm weather around that time! :) Love your beach theme, all amazing, my fav is the palm tree!
Ingenious work Lisa - love them all. Christmas, no every day, must be so much fun in your house! Nicola x
Finally made time to pop in and MY WORD have you been busy!! I love all of your summery/beachy Christmas cards! The beach ball ornaments & mustache are so fun, and I LOVE the colors on the clothesline card!! The snowman at the beach needs to be framed and hanging on a wall (I'll make room!!) and the palm tree is fantastic! Of course, now that song will be running through my head all day...
Its always hard for me to wrap my head around a warm Christmas living near Chicago and all.... but these are making me want to go on vacation now Lisa! Love the sock on the palm tree!
Hey! Have you been down here visiting and didn't let me know. LOL This definitely resembles Christmas time around here. your creativity just blow my mind Twang!
They are all grand Lisa - my favorite one is the one that says "gone to the beach"!
